Just saw LDO/Lee's post. That 3D version looks dead on to me. -

This one is from the AMT LIL' Showrod series. It's from the Lil' Gasser. I felt it was pretty close. The valve covers might be on the narrow side. This is the 1/24th T'Rantula. It looks to me the same proportions as the Lil' gasser. I recently saw a Ross Gibson resin SOCH engine and the valve covers were much wider than the two offerings above. You will have to hunt for these as they are no longer produced. Here are a couple of shots of the real thing for comparison -
Last night I checked out the link. I could get there, but once I went to an issue, I could not get back to the home screen with all the issues unless I closed out and relaoded the link. Any suggestions?

Can you tell what is going on with the roof of the Lincoln? If I remember correctly about this car, there is a cool trick there.

Cadzilla - one of my all time favorites - is currently resting in the Peterson basement. If I remember right from a youtube vid - Chip Foose made more than one of the Hemisfear show cars. I really wish that one would have won the vote to be kitted. Scott

Very, VERY well done. Super clean. How did you get the back to sit down correctly? The stance is perfect! Scott -
I am finally back on Loiue's Truck. Time to get the engine done. I think I mentioned that I know very little about the Detroit Diesel engine. I'm going to need some help figuring out the accessories. Is the grey item on the back of the engine a power steering pump? And where does the fluid container go? Thanks for any help you guys can provide. Scott

The Official EBay Discussion Thread

Hey Peter. The auction was for bidding only. I do not do buy it now. I do not accept offers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325444270092 The buyer won the bid at 91.00 He then sent me a message that the kit is missing tire and asking if there are broken parts or other missing parts. I told him all the tires are pictured and I can not do a parts count because I do not have instructions as stated in the description. He then offered me 50.00 for the kit he bid 91.00 on. I wanted to cancel the sale right then, but eBay said I have to send an invoice and wait 4 days before I can cancel the sale. Once the time passes, I'll block him and cancel the sale. Scott -

Wow, just Wow! I auctioned off a rebuilder Eldon Pink Panther with the box. Showed pictures from all angles. The description says you see all the pieces I have. I can not account for parts count because I do not have the instructions. Sold AS IS. ASK QUESTIONS. The wining bidder messages me saying it is missing a wheel. All 4 wheels are shown in the pictures. Then he offers me a little more than 1/2 of what he bid. WHAT! I can't cancel the deal until I send an invoice and wait 4 days. Geeze! -

Nice! The decals are like detailing and engine with detailing the engine. Excellent job on this one. -
Thanks for posting these. I like the stroll. This article brought back a memory of my pop telling me he tried to chop the top on a 34 ford after looking at an article from Hot Rod. This must be the article. His attempt ended when the detached roof dropped inside the car. I think his grandmother, my great grandmother, had it hauled to the dump after it sat for a while.

We watched Beast on Netflix. Feel free to skip it. Implausible behavior/choices and bad acting. I lost three movie choices for choosing that one.

Hey Jesse, Thanks for the call out on the Vault-Avenger. I really appreciate the support. There are a couple issues at play here in regards to posting pics. The Vault articles are written to provide unique content for the magazine and entice forum member to give a subscription a try. So I would ask you to consider a subscription. The price is good and the quality and content are outstanding. I am a big fan of the magazine feel good about promoting MCM. Here is a link. Check it out. https://www.modelcarsmag.com With that said, the editorial team has had this discussion before. The rule of thumb is that we wait until the issue with a featured car has been followed by the next issue before we start sharing photos in forums. So when issue 217 hits the mailboxes, I'll post pics of the Avengers. Thanks for asking. Makes me feel good that there is interest! Best regards, Scott Colmer

Great car, Gary! As always, the paint is spectacular. Love the flip front and engine set back.

Here is a link to my last auction. I think you can use it to follow more of my auctions. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325415820296 Here is how I try to do my best to present my auctions: I try to show or describe all defects or missing parts. I pack the inside of the kit and around the kit in a shipping box. If the model is a reissue, I'll say so. If you ask for combined shipping, please do not pay before I have the chance to get the combined cost. If you do not like something about your kit, feel free to ask me about it. I may be able to find a part or figure out another solution. (I do not appreciate accusations.) I check my eBay messages at the end of each day. I will probably not accept anything but auction bids. So far all the offers have been well below the final bid price. I list 4-5 kits a week. The end goal is to collect money to finally build my Bug Eye Sprite that has been sitting for 15 years. This is as far as I got before I gave away the first version away back in the 90s. This is where the next version is now. I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this. -

Excellent detail and design on this one. How did you do the Siamesed intake stacks? -
Excellent work, Dan. I really enjoyed watching this one come together.

Welcome, Ken. Feel free to post pictures of some of those original builds. They always bring back memories. Recent stuff too!

Wow. I have always enjoyed this model, Tim. I have an OLD magazine where it was pictured in contest coverage. What I did not know was that it was part of a set. It is so cool to see them all together. What a great ensemble. Each piece is amazing on its own. The trailer stands out to me. What a great idea! And you built it all in high school. Yikes. Did you know and talk with any other model builders at that time? Thanks for posting the whole story. Scott
