  1. Wow. I have been following your build thread here and it has inspired me to do one myself but it will turn out to be for my wife's grandfather instead. This looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I bought this last week at the local hobby shop to build as a fifties custom but, then the wife asked me if I could build it for her grandfather. I said sure if time would allow. I already have numerous projects started that I can't work on to much on account of my 10 month old daughter but, I will give it a shot. ASked what his favorite colors were and was told Pearl White and Light Beige. So another trip to hobby shop for some paint. testors Pearl White, which I had in my stach and Testors Phoenician Yellow. Stripped chrome off side trim and glued in place prior to painting. Primed with Duli-color White Primer and sprayed pearl white but didn't go to well so in the stripper it went. Now today got the roof sprayed Pearl White and the body sprayed Phoenician Yellow. I guess it looks okay, I need to clear it yet. Will have have a beige and brown interior when completed. What do you guys think? This appears to be a nice kit, if I remember right this was the Kit of the Year when it first came out.
  3. Any chace of of you making resin copies of this when you are done the modifications? Would love to have resin copy of this. I like it alot. Keep it going looking great.
  4. Bring on the 50 Olds. I know I will get a couple and my father, brother and cousin will get a least one each. Long awaiting model. And of course who can forget about the Chrysler 300 from Moebius. I will get a case of them when the time comes. The Rat roadster will be on my list as well. I have always wanted the 1/16 scale Petty Charger. A big thanks goes out to the model manufacturers, now just bring out what you announce. Would love to still see more 50's Mopars though.
  5. Here's the beginning of my Hudson Hornet model. Tamiya Racing Green on roof and Tamiya Park Green on body, straight out of spray can. I still need to clear the body. I think it looks like fifties colors. What do you guys think of it?
  6. Yeah that lost part will show up after you completed the model or even when you get up from looking on the floor, there it is on your work surface. Hate that. Makes you turn into Homer Simpson, Duh!!!
  7. They look great. Can't wait to see what comes. Awesome and Thanks
  8. How many of you have spend less time cleaning up the body than the chassis? I didn't take but half the time to clean the mold lines on my body than it did to clean everything up on the chassis. I know some have commented on the mold lines on the body but mine wasn't that bad. And I have all trim intact yet.
  9. Just one word comes to mind . . . . WOW
  10. Simply awesome. I have stuff to this car as well but haven't had the time yet. Looks great.
  11. SWEET !!!! I love it. Looks great. Gotta love them A12 Mopars. Great job.
  12. Bring them on. Any vintage Mopar is welcomed in my house. ANy vintage drag car is welcomed. Heck any thing that can be converted to a drag car is also welcomed. Please bring back some vintage Mopars.
  13. NIce looking 64. Paint looks great and it's NOT a low rider. I like it.
  14. I agree with Futurabat 57 Cadillac El Dorado. Very cool and interesting
  15. Looks great. Love these old Dodge stock cars. Great job
  16. Thanks Harry.
  17. Has anybody purchased this kit and have pics of contents? Was wondering what the kit was like, curbside or full detailed?
  18. Thats for the update Dave. I am looking forward to this kit. I already have the Hudson on the way and would like to get multiple kits of the 300. A Desoto would be great as well. I am tired of seeing the same thing built over and over. Its good to have a few more options out there to build. Thanks again everybody at Moebius. Keep up the great work.
  19. If it comes with the fence and tree, maybe thats what makes it worth the extra $$$ that they want for a Trumpeter model?
  20. Now we have the Hudson out any updates on the 300?
  21. Any updates?
  22. Awesome have thought about trying to replicate that car many times. Looks great.
  23. I think it was more of a case of "just dumb luck" on the paint. But thanks guys for the comments on the great paint. I also had planned on doing Ronnie's ProMod Comet, in fact I just received the resin body from Bandit Resins but the body isn't correct for Ronnie's car so I don't know what I will do now for that.
  24. Not a big update but, I got the salt flat discs epoxyed onto wheels the other night and dug out some tires that will fit the wheels. I don't know why Revell has to mold the rear wheels bigger than the fronts but they do. I wanted to use the same size wheels front and rear so I had to get into the parts boxes and find some tires that would work. I need to get the ride heght worked out as well now that I have my wheels and tires selected. I have also been working slowly on the interior trying to get that completed. I also ordered a set of the decals from Decals by Lucas to see what there quailty was like. Have never used any of theres so I am looking forawrd to receiving them. I may end up using the decals from Decals by Lucas instead of the ones I got from Model Car World a couple years ago. We will see. Sorry I have no pics at this time. Will keep plugging along as my soon to be 9 month old daughter will let me.
  25. Any updates on this?
