  1. Great work. I'm sure that Chadwick jacked up the stock suspension. Tube axles wouldn't have been legal in A/FX.
  2. "Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and blowing things up." How American can ya get? Sometimes I wish I was older; maybe I could have been at the Castle Bravo test shot ("One minute the island was there, the next - Blooey! Nothing!). I remember that one 4th of July when my Dad and my Uncle George used my Marx Cape Canaveral set for their own space program. Some of the rockets launched, most blew up on the pad (cheap plastic). I should have been upset (Hey! That's my stuff! but I was havin' too much fun myself.
  3. I remember attempting to bend a roll bar for the build. It's not pictured in Daddyfink's parts layout and it's not in the instructions (which I saw recently but I'm dipped if I can remember where).
  4. "The contents of most of the two kits were identical except for the body panels and livery." And no roll bar.
  5. Showed up yesterday. Not bad, not bad at all. Now to get the advertisers to get on the stick and buy space!?
  6. Uh, how soon should we expect them?
  7. Before there were fiberglass parts there were hole saws.
  8. I'd guess that the AMT version is 1/32 (or closest to it). Most kits under 1/25 scale were "box" scale - sized to fit in the box it came in. The second tier companies - Pyro, Lindberg, Aurora, et al. - were notorious for this.
  9. Done a bunch of business with SH this past year. Absolutely no complaints.
  10. And that story is ...?
  11. March 9.Still checking my mailbox ...
  12. The famous Lindberg "box" scale. 7/16 inch = 1 foot (1/28 scale). So named because it fit in the box they used.
  13. Second that. Also: "we also believe that there is a significant consolidation opportunity within the highly fragmented collectibles space." Wuzzat mean?
  14. ?
  15. I have one of these. Academy/MiniCraft. Used it as a slot car body.
  16. What in the heck did PLA stand for?
  17. The 1965 Hawaiian dragster. And some of the other suggestions I'd buy in a heartbeat, but please - no molded-in undercarriage, no molded-in exhaust, no molded-in seats ... no molded-in anything. Curse you, AMT.
  18. Now I get it. Thanks.
  19. I didn't even know that there was a double-B funny car class. What made it a BB/FC? Cubic inches or weight? And if weight - where was it?
  20. Bought a subscription Nov. 19. When do I get a copy of the magazine?
  21. I have a jug of the stuff that's Lord knows how many years old. It ain't purple no more. Did the job the last time I used it though, sometime last year. Don't remember if it was enamel or lacquer I removed.
  22. Amazing work.?
  23. Impressed the hell out of a thirteen-year-old kid, but after lo these many years I remember nothing about it.
