Funny thing...I watched this exact video on Youtube just minutes before I logged on here and I saw your post. The flat 12 sounds nice.

Yes it looks dead on now, very nice. I think flat should work on most wheels.

I noticed a stepped edge where the deepening meet the inner part of the flat circle of the center "button" on your rendering, it should not be there as the concave line of the center deepening goes all the way up to and meets the inner edge of this circle, so there is no step on the inner part of that circle on the real thing...I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain. Otherwise it looks pretty dead on. The center "button" will of course be quite small in 1:25th scale and this will maybe not show much.

The final look is very convincing.

$40.00 shipping from USA to Canada for a photo etched fret is outrageous when the photo etch fret itself fits in a regular envelope and can go as regular post, I wouldn't pay that even if the stuff was going over here to Sweden on the other side on the Atlantic Ocean.

Looking good Rico, the center "button" could be tweaked some more as it's slightly off, the center depression should be concave, not flat. If you look closely at this picture you might see what I mean. I'm looking forward to be able to buy these.

The torsion bar versions of the K123 and W925 was not on the market for a very long time, that suspension was re-tooled and disappeared sometime after the T559 Kenworth Challege Transit Mixer kit wich still had the torsion bars. The AMT early Kenworth kits has has allways had the K123 and W925 designations but that's a bit confusing. The chassis designation ending with *25 tells that it should have Lighter Weight Tandem Drive on Torsion Bars so the W925 was correct when the T519 Kenworth W925 kit first came out in 1971 with Torsion Bars, but they changed to Walking beam and the kit should be designated W923 after that. The chassis designation ending with *23 tells it should have Lighter Weight Tandem Drive on 4-Spring, Hendrickson Walking Beam, Timken Lightweight Camelback type, 4-Bag Air Ride etc. but the T520 Kenworth K123 kit had Torsion Bars when it first came out in 1971 so K123 was wrong at the time, but they changed to Walking Beam and K123 is correct now. I do that too, but a one second glance on a picture of the releases will immediately tell if there are something of interest.

I wish they would show regular photos of the releases instead of these videos. One quick glance and you will instantly see if there is anything of interest instead of wasting several minutes on a video showing mostly uninteresting stuff.

A DOHC engine has two camshafts in each cylider head, the Merlin has only one in each head so it's a SOHC, it also has four valves per cylinder, two spark plugs and two magnetos, and one carburetor...27 litres of hair rising sound that gives the viewer goose bumps. I really love to see and hear these old WW2 V12 aircraft engines.

If you get a chance to get the Airfix P51D engine buy it, you will not be disappointed.

They are spark plug leads as the Merlin has two ignition systems, the Merlin also has a carburetor...so fuel lines they are not. Airfix has a nice crisp Merlin in the 1:24th scale P51D Mustang kits, it's the Packard version of the Rolls Royce Merlin 66.

Revell did a couple of all new tooling full detail glue kits of the 2017 Chevrolet SS and Ford Fusion NASCAR Cup cars...right before the change to the Camaro body in 2018 and now the Mustang body in 2019...so the timing was a bit off like it has happened before for Revell. They are not on the Revell website right now but as they are recent they can be found on the web, look for the #24 Chase Elliott Napa kit for the SS and #10 Danica Patrick Aspen Dental or #4 Kevin Harvick Jimmy Johns Fusion kits.

I know, they were available when I bought the DVD's too. But I prefer to have a hard copy as they will most likely not be on line forever and can be gone the next time I want to watch them, save them to a hard drive, well they crash sometimes...I have the DVD's and they will last as long as I have something to play them on.

It's understandable that younger generations doesn't know much of old TV shows like this as they haven't seen or heard anything about them under their lifetime. The three seasons of BJ and the Bear show was originally aired 1979-81 and the pilot show 1978, and most likely no re-runs has been aired in the last 30 years or so, so anyone under 45 wouldn't remember much of the show. It's mostly "old geeks" like us who watched these shows when they first aired on TV who like to have nostagic trips and see them again many years later....I know I got one recently after I bought the DVD's and watched the two seasons of Movin' On.
