    He ran a Boss 429. Car was built for a 351 Cleveland but because of a rules change he made the switch. He said it was the Worst handling car he ever drove at the time, like a fuel Altered.

    Looks pretty good from that casting. Not the best looking Mercury Pickup design but you pulled it off.

    I like this also. They could be on their own tree and if they want to use them again just slip in the box of a complete kit at a later date.

    A nice set of wire wheels. A 351 Cleveland would be nice. Hop up parts from the 40's - the 70's would be nice. Not sure how to go about that break up though. Some Photo Etch parts like brackets for Alternator and power steering pump would be nice. How about some suspension parts like a straight axle, rear end parts for drag cars. Wheel tubs maybe.

    All very good points Rob. With the limited amount of aftermarket may be why we don't see them built up more often. The size may be what keeps people from taking them to shows. I think I have only seen maybe 20 large scale models at shows in the last 15 years.

    They are not cheap at shows now or ebay. I am sure on a good day you can get a deal but mostly not. I think the biggest problem when new was timing and only one build option. Some rework of this kit and today It would sell better.

    The Comet was going to be an Edsel in fact my brother has looked at a title from an early Comet and it said Edsel on it.
