Over the last 10 years or so I have noticed that the stores also carry less and less lights and decorations. I was taught, go the day after Christmas to get next years lights . I have plenty, in fact I hung up several strings of the clear led light in my attic for lights.

Filler for resin
1930fordpickup replied to stitchdup's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I am wondering if you still have mold release on the resin. Did you scrub it good before you sanded it? I have read if you sand before you wash you can have problems. Not sure what products you have over there to use. They gave my family the boot form Scotland a few generations ago. LOL I think you need to give it another good wash with some good degreaser and a scrub brush. If this does not work it may just be a relic material for you. -

What did you wash this with before you started.? -
Yes I was thinking the same thing, but he wants a longer one. Just stop into a garage you trust and ask them who they buy from. The tool guy will gladly sell you anything you need, they like cash sales. worst case you could make your own out of 1/4 or 3/16 rod. Have someone weld it to an old screwdriver so you have a handle.

Bob a good friend of mine worked for Apple for a couple of years. Yes they do give you a script to read. Directions on what you tell people and only pass things along that need it.

I like that you left the trains on the layout.

Back in 82 and 83 I spent some time riding with my brother on a wrecker. Too long ago to tell you chain size. The chain in the center is there to keep the sling from swinging around when not in use. Every driver did this differently. That big hook ( that you have circled) is a J hook you use to hook up the car. Does the same job to hook the sling as a smaller chain. You use what is on the back if the truck most of the time. Around here you would leave them on the back of the truck between tows, unless you went into a sketchy place.

These shows have the same formula. Fake high school drama with adults. I lived through that years ago have no interest to watch it on TV. -
I am glad to hear you are trying to get the little guy working with you. I agree 100% being an Uncle is great because they go home. LOL One day my niece told me the old ( you aren't my dad) line. I said you are right I am not. Just remember you are at my house I am the boss here, not your mother. My sister laughed at us both and then told her daughter he is the boss here.

I think that is a 1980. Even back in the day you rarely seen a Bobcat. -

Good choice for a movie car. Well done. I sure wish we had a better look at the white one at the beginning of the Movie. The one he tossed the keys to, to the guy sitting on the bench. -
I agree 100%. It has gotten worse.

Woke up to the yard covered with snow. I am pleased because i picked up 90% of the sticks in the yard yesterday and burnt them and went to dads and did the same. My sisters helped at dads along with 2 nieces and a nephew. Took the older 14 ear old niece out driving in the side by side and I am alive to post this. She is getting better.

I feel this all comes down to under trained employees because of the current management style.

I went by the Toledo store this week. I went on Wednesday bt I forgot Toledo public school are on lock down. The store parking lot was packed with cars worse than a Saturday. Normally a 1/2 hour wait to check out when they are that busy. I turned around and went home. -
