  1. The cheaper the product the dustier and softer it is , with my experience using it. I don't like the cheaper version because it messes with me when We used it at work. This is the place we purchased the brand we used. (Not Ren-Shape brand name as the is the Freemans supply product I believe.) http://www.bp-ind.com/modeling---tooling-boards.html
  2. Very cool Mark.
  3. He was a great man. He may have had way more home runs had they not pitched around him like they did often.
  4. I think the biggest problem is not enough sorting locations. I know they were trying to copy the fedex way.
  5. Charlie I have no idea what the cost of the printed molds would be. But Machinist cost to clean them up will be a lot more than a few hundred dollars. Just as you said still cheaper than cutting steel molds for short run subjects. The bodies alone for use on existing chassis would be great Cabs for Semi's
  6. 3D printing is still heading tin the right direction for sure.
  7. Short runs of a 1000 makes this an interesting option for some subjects. I wonder what kind of tolerance they can hold. A station wagon mold of a 70's car or other low production models would be good for this.
  8. Maybe figure out the peg you would need to use and paint them with a color code. Then with a piece of paper give yourself a step by step plan before you start. That way when you have to go help your wife you will know where you are at. I would have to do this if I attempt it.
  9. I bet those wagon kits are selling fast.
  10. I have done what David (ESPO) has aid. Filter out the paint chunk's and poured it back in the bucket. Same stuff for 3 or 4 years now. I have stripped more than a few glue bombs and a lot of parts in the bucket. There is Purple Power and super clean along with Zep brand degreaser in the bucket. It is a 3 gallon bucket with a Gama Seal on it. It is a screw on lid with an o-ring seal on it. (I picked up the Lid at Meijer but they also are sold from Duluth Trading) Snake the fastest a body ever stripped for me was about 3 hours in the bucket. That was a warm day 90 degrees plus that day and I did not have an air conditioning at the time. When I want to strip something I bring the bucket out of the basement for a couple of days to warm it up.
  11. Wow this came out great.
  12. If you take them apart it would just be gears.
  13. very cool t bucket. I like the grill
  14. Peter there are two different jigs sold on Shapeways from the same person. I think it was designed with the center loose so that you can shim up the or down the center because of the offset issue. If you get the one that has the most posts it should be better. You don't have to use all of the posts when you make the wheel.
  15. This looks great.
  16. There is a car show in Toledo at the end of summer. It is held at a park out side of the Hydro-Matic plant. It would be awesome to drive in there with that. LOL There was also a Corvette customizing shop down the road in the 70's. We would see some slightly customized plastic car but this outlandish.
  17. May she rest in piece. She was funny n that movie.
  18. I just measured a firestone semi tire I have here. It is a fuzz over 1.500 so you have an idea. about tire size. It looks as it would fill up the wheel opening.
  19. You are on your own now. I was going to feel sorry for you. Not anymore. BTW enjoy the time with your dad this weekend. LOL
  20. If I watch ( and have not for a long time) Michigan, and anyone playing the Smuckeyes. I don't even watch the Pro's anymore. I do follow it just don't spend my time in front of the tube watching another bad call against the Lions. They don't need any help in that department. LOL I sure hope the Browns win this weekend.
  21. Back when I had to make castings at works with plaster and or resin the old guy in the shop told me this Carl. Sometimes you have to decide what you are going to save and what part to sacrifice. Look over the pictures well and zoom in with the computer. It may help you out decide about buying something.
