David you are not wrong about the price and the fitting of parts. This an old set of tooling for sure. Not an excuse for non fitting parts. I am sure in the old days this parts fit better than they do now. Plastic is abrasive and does wear the molds. If you want to find out how old a kit is before you buy it ask here. There has been some good advice given to try help you out, take that and move forward. You will end up with a nice model or a nice learning experience when you are finished.

good point. After looking at Kerry's reshaped wheel openings it looks fine. I just did not like the stock openings.

I started to rework one of these awhile ago. I have been struggling to move the rear axle back and I see I am not the only one that does not care for the long trunk on these. Kerry using the Cobra for a donner is a great idea.

Yes this would help a lot of people get along better in life with less help from the outside world. Compatibility is my biggest worry with this. What happens when you drop your 5 year old smart phone and now have to have half of your house replaced because you can no longer use it properly.
