  1. Like the others have said good idea and welcome aboard the forum.
  2. Another good looking model Chuck.
  3. I think the same thing when I see people go nuts over a 57 Chevy, an ugly car with an oversized bumper and grill with fake chrome fins stuck on the side. Just because we may or may like a car does not say others can not. Not sure what the guy problem is but we all could make a few guesses. Looking around at what old show cars are bringing at auction prices is a good start.
  4. The Nova SS, the Pontiac Ventura and the Novacaine were released in 1972. Everything else was after, from the Directory.
  5. Some more nice work from your bench.
  6. A piece of tin foil, freezer paper, or a piece of a pop can should stop the sticking.
  7. Looks like you had a good weekend Dominick.
  8. So sorry to hear this. I would have to think that the crooks followed you from the last place or places you were shopping at. They were doing that here in the Toledo area a few years ago.
  9. Here in the Toledo Ice Rink they have a new Zamboni but before the new barn was put up they had the Sports Arena. The old Zamboni was allegedly built on a Jeep chassis, Not like the picture above completely. It had the flat sides but the top was open so you would see the chain bring the snow into the hopper it was used until 2007. Well when they tore down the old Barn the Zamboni went missing. Bummer.
  10. I agree Casey a good version of the older rims and tires would help. What could they do for a frame? When they first announced the Bump side trucks I posted they should offer different rear bed configurations (dump box, flat bed, utility bed, tow truck and such)to help sales along. I see they are going offer a Utility Bed with the earlier trucks. It is good to see they are doing something that is not the norm with these trucks. I think they could offer different style beds for any truck in kit form like the AMT ramp bed and camper and they would sell.
  11. That is why you ask, to learn. It is different everywhere, so we all do things differently.
  12. Jeremy good to see him in a photo. He looks much better than I was thinking he was going to. Slow but sure he is getting better.
  13. For me several reasons. 1 I do not get enough wind to blow them away or at least to thin them out. 2 Oak leaves take more than 1 winter to break down and kill the grass under them when they get thick. 3 They always gather by the garage door and blow inside when you open it. At my father's house I just chop them up with the mower and they are fine. He has open fields bu him so he gets plenty of wind. At my house I have a large compost pile about 20 x 20 that has leaves from about 5 years running. Plenty of dirt on the bottom now, just need to get some time to move it all. Great stuff for the garden or planters.
  14. This turned out nice. Great idea.
  15. Ray looks good. I like the color combo. Whatever you are taking double it up. LOL
  16. Good Idea. Looks the good.
  17. Very nice looking Model I like this.
  18. So I did a non scientific study here in my house. I had a tub of old degreaser in my basement that has a few different brands inside it. Zep brand, Super Clean and some Purple power. It looks like chocolate milk mostly. So I purchased some parts on Ebay that had some thick paint build up on them. Like 3 or 4 coats of brush paint. I had an idea of what they were but not sure, because of the paint build up. I take a small to go tub poor it full of NEW Purple Power with many various small parts and a hood. Some of these parts had chrome on them and it did not just fade away as it does with the good stuff. I left them sit overnight (all chrome gone)and scrubbed them and paint came off but it was work scrubbing them. So uncleaned parts back in for another 24 hour soak. Pulled them out and scrubbed them with paint still on them and a dash that had hard as a rock black paint on top still. Poured the Purple Power down the drain and replaced it with the OLD mixed stuff and let parts sit for the next day. When I pulled out the dash there was no black paint on the top of the dash it was gone everything else I did some hard scrubbing and they cleaned up well. It does not remove glue after all. So I will not use the Purple Power for paint stripping anymore as even new stuff does not work fast enough or at all on some. Turns out the parts that I did not recognize were 63/64 Riviera heavily sanded and cut up body, heavily sanded hood, interior bucket and dash no front seats, I need these parts. I only bid because there was a Wild Dream body in the pile with no paint.
  19. This Dodge came out nice Wayne.
  20. I forgot about the wheelbase difference. But my point was about different uses for the tooling. The no agreement with GM about the Nova's/ Chevy II was right from the horse's mouth at the Detroit NNL.
  21. If they do a Maverick. Stock with a 6 or a 302. Regular driver 2 and 4 door. Grabber and the different size bumpers for different years. I just want a small bumper Grabber with a 302. Then you could do the race versions, Gapp and Roush did run a 4 door maverick. The Power wagon could be done in so many ways as a truck and also as the Military versions. Good use of the tool. The Vega no interest. But they also do not have an agreement with GM and that is why the Nova's/ Chevy II's are dead in the water.
