  1. That makes sense, the B-series van was a 'uniframe' design---not body bolted on a frame, but a frame welded to the floorpan. So the whole body/frame was probably painted at once.
  2. The MPC Dodge van kits had the chassis molded to the floorpan, so that wouldn't be useful...
  3. Is this the same clear trailer that was issued in the 60s by MPC w the Ford GT Mk IV? I have that kit, but the trailer is missing.
  4. Alfa Romeo Stelvio? I've seen a few around the Cleveland area.
  5. There was a scene in a series I saw a while back were a minor character was living in a motor home down in the LA River. I think it was in season 1 of Goliath.
  6. That is rather odd, considering Round 2 doesn't own the Aurora tooling AFAIK...and it's pretty obscure and old..
  7. Ok, so if you knew the answer, then why did ask why the badge was covered...
  8. They didn't want to pay for licensing, probably.. hiding/removing badging is common in movies/tv.
  9. I do wonder about that..in the '80s, there was the longbed 'Thunderstruck' kit w/ raised suspension and oversized tires, then the monster truck. I never had the monster truck, so I don't know if the tooling was modified or a custom chassis/suspension added.
  10. Problem is, the 4dr would outsell a 2dr 10 to 1 probably...just like with the Wrangler today.
  11. As far as I know, they aren't going to make a 2dr version, but it's been rumored. So far only the 4dr has been announced.
  12. My Dad had a '79 short bed fleet side Power Wagon Prospector 4x4. Silver green inside and out. Had the quad rectangular stacked headlights. I learned to drive in that truck in the mid 80s. It had a penchant for stalling on left turns (which accounts for a phobia I still have about left turns). Bouncy ride, numb steering with a lot of play, but still fun in it's own way. It looked like this but green instead of blue..even had the Ram hood ornament.
  13. Found it..I've got this one, the 'Pumpin Iron', Warlock, 2 Thunderstruck 4x4 longbeds, the '72, 73, 75, 77, and 78 longbed annuals in my stash, but haven't seen them since at least 2 moves/2 cities/2 states/1 decade back..still packed away.
  14. Yeah, haven't looked at mine in a while. There was also a molded in orange short bed step side '79 w/ 4x4 suspension...'Fire Fighter' or something like that.
  15. Yes, differences was it was molded in silver and had different decals..have one in my stash.
  16. Never seen that...looks interesting.
  17. Looking forward to it..I preordered one almost a year ago..
  18. As with each generation of Jeeps, a new generation is bigger than the previous. The new JL Wrangler is bigger than the previous JK etc. It's interesting, the old Grand Wagoneer was considered full size in it's day, but it's actually smaller than my WK2 Grand Cherokee... I like the new Gladiator--basically a lengthened Wrangler Unlimited with a large trunk.
  19. That's a good one..a couple LA River chase scenes that are favorites of mine are in To Live and Die in LA and in Terminator 2.
  20. One of the most off year-wise I can recall was a scene in the movie 'The Debt'...was a scene supposed to be at a US airbase in W. Germany, 1966. Two sedans pull up to a plane that just landed..one is a '66 Impala sedan...the other...an early 80s Olds 88 sedan.
  21. For racing-themed movies, my favorites are Grand Prix, Winning, Le Mans and Rush. For movies with great car chases, some favorites of mine are Bullitt, Duel, Vanishing Point, French Connection, Seven Ups, To Live and Die in LA, Ronin, Transporter.
  22. That or the "Keep on Truckin' version is what I'd be interested in. So am I to understand this new release (Coke '32 Ford Sedan Delivery) is not this tooling?
  23. Yes, that I remember..my '72 and '73 annuals are like that IIRC.
  24. Yes, and a Power Wagon badge. But that is a photo of a 1:1 and not the kit. Hopefully they have tooled up some new wheels and tires, the wheels and tires w/ the original '78 MPC longbed 4x4 pickups were pretty inaccurate IIRC..
  25. I thought it was a musical. Definitely not a 'Car Movie'.
