  1. So I woke this morning at 3:00am and noticed the house was warm.. got up and it was 83 degrees instead of the usual 75. It got up to 100 in the house today until the service guy could get to the house and replace a capacitor about an hour ago...house is down to 90 now...woooo hoooo...
  2. I think only if they have to (emergencies)....a lot of outdoor work during the hot months goes on early in the morning (or overnight like roadwork).
  3. the humidity is very low. 4-5 percent. I only feel it few minutes at a time---dashing between air conditioned house, car, office, etc. I've lived in S Florida, and it's worse with the heat and high humidity.
  4. I'm thinking of doing one as in plain panel delivery style...in brown.
  5. Well, it pleased me that it wasn't 125.... I'm just kind of numb to the heat now....going to go get in the pool now and relax...
  6. about 4:30 this afternoon in central Phoenix..
  7. Was a bit warm this afternoon on the commute home..
  8. That must be a Midwestern/East Coast thing at McDonalds..I have had them in Ohio, never seen them here in AZ. Tasty...
  9. Yeah, it took me about 15 years to go from 185 to 250. If I can get back under 200 before I'm 50, I'll be happy... I've tried to cut out fast food, overly processed food and sodas. Eating more salads and trying to eat healthy snacks. Since my work involves spending hours sitting in front of a computer, the tendency to snack on junk food has always been strong.
  10. Here we insanely high heat. Warm this weekend.
  11. Much the same except for the front end design changes for '79. I have the '78 wagon kit but not nearby for comparison.
  12. Sharp build...that would be a neat kit to see reissued...
  13. My weight loss has been pretty small...I'm 45 and have managed to take off 25 pounds in the last year (from 250 down to 225)...want to take off another 25 pounds. I credit it to eating better and walking a lot more (using Fitbit to track my steps). A buddy of mine by working w a doctor and sticking to a controlled diet took off 185 pounds in about 10 months last year...pretty amazing.
  14. I'm watching on the Fox Sports Go app with my Amazon Fire TV Stick...the streaming is working pretty well.
  15. A '38 or '39 kit would be very nice to see, esp. the '38 De Luxe or '39 Standard...love those unusual grille designs....
  16. Modelhaus makes a decent resin version of the '61 4dr ht promo, I've got one in my stash, along w/ semi-decent R&R one (and an R&R wagon).
  17. Depends on what you like...the Revell kits of these subjects are all good kits, I have multiples of each. The aftermarket of resin mod parts is particularly strong for the Challenger, less so for the others.
  18. It's been reissued twice in the last 20 years, sure it'll be back again sooner or later...
  19. Melodrama much? As I said in a previous post, the 4dr version was only available as a promo, and the original '61 kit tooling was modified to make the '62, which was modified to make the '63, etc....as with any annual only the last modified version exists. Since Round 2 has the perfectly usable Lindberg '61 tooling readily available, it would make no sense in spending money to retool a very basic old kit. It the '61 annual tooling still existed, it would have been out before now. Your expectations are unrealistic.
  20. I think that is a photo of the original box art..
  21. Alas, stupid Fox Sports 1 isn't showing it as advertised....boring golf reruns on there now...listening to the audio stream from Radio LeMans...start was behind the safety car because of the rain..
  22. I went to that renewal link, the form has a field for 'Renewal Account Number'...what account number? The renewal letter made no mention of an account number. I renewed for one year.
  23. Alas, that was only out as a promo 55 years ago, tooling probably long gone..and the '61 ht and convertible annual tooling was updated to the '62, then the '63, so it's long gone also...
  24. Fascinating..didn't realize there was pizza delivery that long ago...
  25. I'll have to look at it again...thought I counted 5 lugs. IIRC, the MPC '75 Pinto coupe and '77 or '78 wagon I have in my stash had a set of unplated hubcaps also...could be mis-remembering though.
