  1. A pic in one of the NNL albums someone else posted show it's the rescue Blazer.
  2. I like the model bento box idea for parts organization whilst building.
  3. Too much work when there are resin bodies available, and the MCW one is cheap. MCW also makes the '51 Chevy body w/ the roofline like the Olds kit.
  4. I think that is the MPC 'Rescue Blazer' snap kit that was just reissued. Some online vendors show it as available now.
  5. On another forum an MPC '78 AMC Pacer was also pictured.
  6. In my current house, my hobby room is my home office, have a hobby desk and a work desk, but only laptops. I haven't used a desktop computer in about 5 years...don't like being rooted to one spot in the house. My next house will have a dedicated hobby room.
  7. Ok..must be another I forgot about...I've been going to the spring, DSC and fall ones at the Postal Hall since '08...3 per year AFAIK. I've been to the IMPS one downtown, IIRC there is also something out on the east side (museum at Mesa Gateway or Williams Field). Not sure if that or the IMPS one are annual, though. Going to miss out on the DSC one this year, going to So Cal for the weekend.
  8. Interesting...I knew of at least 3 per year at the Postal Workers Union Hall (one w/ the DSC).. I do recall in past years going to an IMPS one downtown at the Convention Center.
  9. Around $20 + shipping is the going standard for online kit vendors for Round 2 and Revell new releases, and around $24 for Revell or AMT new releases at the LHS. Local shows are too few and far between (2-3 per year), though they are a good source for older kits.
  10. Neat..looks like it's coming along well. I have an unbuilt '80s issue of that kit (the molded in red version), and one thing I don't like about it is how the rear tires stick out so far...narrowing the axle and widening the rear wheel wells seems to be the way to go..
  11. So far looking at the pics it looks more accurate overall to me than their previous 1/24th '70-71 Cudas. It will be interesting to have one in my hands and compare w/ the Johan and MPC ones.
  12. They are all the same (different hood on the AAR), only appear different because of differences in the photos. I would hope Revell isn't relying on photographs of a 1:1 and has a more precise means of capturing measurements and shapes...
  13. Saw that..the '67 Corvette reissue is on the bottom left, what appears to be a drag version of the '58/59 or '62 Corvette is in the top middle...top right looks like maybe Revell's New Beetle kit w/ custom wheels, a semi truck cab on the bottom right..
  14. It's a big difference between an individual doing something, and a product development team in a company...don't they QA their designs before and after tooling them up? Where is the accountability for product quality and accuracy?
  15. I've heard that the link-belt shovel was another ghost kit.
  16. The yellow and green builtups are sweet.
  17. Don't think I've ever seen the MPC large scale C2 Corvettes, only familiar w/ the Revell ones. That stock '63 looks sweet to me.
  18. Never seen the garbage truck kit in person..have read in several articles that it was announced but never released.
  19. The '90s era tooling 1/25th scale Lindbergs are all pretty nice ('53 Ford, '61 Impala, '64 Dodge, '64 Plymouth, '66 Olds Cutlass, '66 Chevelle) though the Olds has some issues w/ interior depth. The '90s era 1/25th scale snap kits (Chrysler Atlantic, Sebring convertible, Dodge Caravan, Dodge Dakota) are nice also.
  20. All '85-86 Mustangs had amber rear turn signals, IIRC. The '87-93 LX in coupe, convertible, and hatchback forms all had the same taillight design, don't recall any having amber elements. My '87 GT and '86 LX back in the day: random '87-93 LX taillight pics..
  21. Lindberg '64 Plymouth 'Lawman'.
  22. AMT Ford C600 Gar-Wood garbage truck
  23. I'm pretty sure there is no difference in 1:1 as far the taillights between the 3 body styles. At least not any differences that would be noticable in scale. The upcoming Revell kit will be the first kit w/ '87-93 LX taillights. (I had a 1:1 '86 LX notchback for 6 years along w/ my '87 GT hatchback, but I never took them apart and tried swapping parts..
  24. You miss the point...would you prefer new kits have Palmer level quality? Revell needs to raise their game, take accuracy more seriously.
