  1. I like the AMT also, but they only did one bodystyle for the '57. I like how Revell has approached their tri-fives with several bodystyles, trim levels, and years from a set of common tooling. I'd like to see a '57 Bel Air convertible and Nomad tooled up.
  2. The chassis on the 57 Bel Air and 150 kits appears to be the same as the chassis on the '56 Nomad (separate gas tank). I don't have a '56 Del Ray handy to compare. The chassis on the '55 Bel Air ht is very similar, except it has the gas tank molded in place.
  3. How about a General Lee Charger-style body kit for the Smart? Or the Caliber? Or Night Rider Firebird kit for the Smart?
  4. 75 and sunny here in Phoenix today. Boring. Talked w/ my Mom in E. Ohio...they've had it pretty bad there the last couple of weeks, lots of snow, a couple power outages. My sister is working in SC currently and couldn't fly home to Phoenix last night, was snowing at the airport in Columbia. Sounds like it's unusual to get snow there. The biggest storm I remember as a kid is the blizzard of Jan. '78, was in E. Ohio at the time. I experienced a lot of huge snows from '97-08 when I was living in Colorado.
  5. Impressive weathering work..made plastic look like rusty metal.
  6. Cool..a model built 'Black Bandit' style. I have a few kits I plan to do BB style (Black Bandit is a reference to the Greenlight 1:64th diecast series of black cars/trucks w/ black wheels, some gloss black, some flat or matte).
  7. Great game. Since my Broncos and Steelers weren't in it, had to cheer for the Saints. Great Dodge Charger ad. Enjoyed the half time show.
  8. Cool..I think my pool guy has a white Silverado or Sierra... I'm never home when he comes by every Thursday.
  9. I remember that movie. Watched it one night about 10 years ago when I had insomnia and couldn't sleep.
  10. Sweet...looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
  11. I got my first one last week at the LHS, ordered another one yesterday along w/ another 150 from my usual online kit vendor. Here's some inspiration for a street machine build--on Autoblog today. 57 Sleeper
  12. I'd expect Fujimi to do a 458 before Tamiya...Tamiya hasn't done a new Ferrari in a long time, Fujimi has been putting out a lot of Ferrari kits in recent years..
  13. The 'Sod Buster' is the '81 Chevy 1:25th scale annual. I'm pretty sure I have that one in my stash. IIRC, I have all the MPC '78 or 79 and up stock Chevy and GMC truck kits.
  14. Stopped by my LHS this afternoon and picked up the new Revell '57 Bel Air 2dr sedan 2n1 and the reissue '60 Impala 2n1...both cool kits. Great way they packaged the parts in the '57--4 separate chrome trees.
  15. April is what I've heard.
  16. This is a kit that w/ some patience, can build up quite nicely..I've built 2, and got the top working well. I'll never forget when I got my first one in '88, opened the box, thought they had not included the body at first..never had built a multi-piece body like that before...
  17. Round 2 hasn't included more optional parts from the original issue, have they? There were some optional parts in the '80s issue (the one molded in orange that said 'GTX' on the box...a front air dam and Superbird rear wing, IIRC. The box art I've seen for the original '74 showed parts for a Baja racer version. IIRC, my '80s issue has the Road Runner scripts and birdies molded on the body, but the reissue from around 2004 doesn't have them. The '73-74 Road Runners and Chargers are the only original MPC Road Runners and Chargers of that era I don't have..I have the the original '71 GTX kit (some of my favorite box art ever), the '71 and '72 Road Runners, and the '71 and '72 Chargers.
  18. A couple OLDs have it listed as an April release.
  19. Sweet build. Very nice to see a buildup of a kit I'd heard was 'unbuildable'.
  20. Got my 2nd and 3rd Revell '72 Cutlasses in the mail yesterday, and a resin '68 Coronet R/T twin-scoop hood to use on one of my MPC '68 restos eventually.
  21. +1 Very tasty...I've had it a few times, a friend from Regina makes it occasionally.
  22. I remember those..my Mom had an '80 (after a '77)...traded it on an '85, then an '89. My folks had a series of Town Cars, T-Birds, and Mustangs when I was growing up.
  23. What scale is it?
  24. The Revell AG site makes no mention of '10 releases as far as I can see, so I assume Gasman's source for this information is somewhere else.
  25. Looking forward to the 458 Italia. The A4 DTM race cars will be nice also..
