Same kit, but in a new box, with the Original ZZ Top album cover style box art. I think it's molded in white plastic(please correct me if I'm wrong) Decals should be better too. Just released this Spring by Revell.

While Bill is right with regards to the rear cross members, I'll offer this as well. Since you said you were jut getting back into the hobby, and not knowing what your kit stash looks like or your skill set, let me throw this out there. You can get away with simulating the rear cross member with a little cheat. On the Revell frame there is a molded in rear member just ahead of the gas tank. If you cut a hole directly in front of that for the spring from the Monogram kit to rest in, and then put another strip of plastic in front of the opening you just cut for the spring you can simulate the look of a cross member without all the extensive surgery of putting a real cross member in there. See the pic, using the exact components described(yes, the radius arm would hit the floor as pictured. This is a mockup of an old project). If you need better details or pics let me know. Like I said, this may not be 100% accurate, but if you're just getting back into this you may not want to try big mods like modifying the frame and stuff just yet. If you need any more help just ask. And feel free to ask away about resin as well.

The fenderless is nice, but that red fendered pickup is sweeeet. If you took pics in a more natural setting I bet people would be hard pressed to call them out as models. Oh yeah, I know you did a ton of scratchbuilding on these, which came out very well executed. Kuddos

You're build is looking great. Nice stance, great wheel/tire combo. Looking forward to seeing what upgrades you throw at this one. I still hold out hope that they will see fit to do a series like they did with the 32 (and were starting with the Model A). I'm an absolute 32 fan myself, but the 33-34 is a beautiful design and deserves a modern tool hot rod kit itself. (the AMT 5W and this 3W both have good and bad points)

A great kit to start with that has a lot of the parts you need and is easily adaptable to your Revell 32 is the Monogram 32 Ford roadster. This tooling is from the early 60's, and started out as the Lil' Deuce. But recent reissues are plentiful and can be had for a low price if you dig a little. All issues of the kit contain some very nice Ford early juice brakes, nice dropped front axle with split bones, and a buggy sprung rear. I buy this kit whenever I see it cheap just for the suspension parts alone. Rep+Min of Md is one of the best casters in the business, so buy with confidence if you go that route. He offers a full flathead kit, and tons of flathead hop-up parts as well. Here's some box art of the newer(and therefor cheaper) versions of the Monogram 32 roadster. Actually, ProShop was also used on non-prepaint kits as well. There was an edition of the 32 Ford roadster(where I think they possibly restored some long missing parts?) and a special edition of the new tool 57 Bel Air that included the photoetch set(yellow box art). There may have been others

Yeah, it amuses me as well. But, within the last week I have watched a bunch of the HL clearance items pop up on the various swap and auction groups I'm a member of on Facebook.

After watching this post start a week ago i knew markdowns were coming at my local store. Fortunately I had other business in town that allowed me to be able to check nearly each day last week. I'm a builder, so I was looking for myself, not resale. The last markdown like this re-sellers swooped in and emptied the shelves very quickly, so I knew I would have to be there either day of or day after markdowns. By Friday i was getting frustrated that the models were still not marked down. But, I heard the telltale sign of the ticketing guns in action in other aisles, so I had a feeling it was coming. Stopped in Saturday morning, and sure enough, the markdowns had hit the model aisle. Oh happy day! I left plenty of clearance kits on the shelves for others to share in the discounts. And BTW, I do support my LHS. I buy my kits, supplies, magazines and scratchbuilding stuff there. But since the prices of Revell and Round2 kits have gotten so high, buying a $30 kit just for a part or two is no longer feasible, so these big store clearance sales are great.

How is that yellow 27 T a "Bucket T kit"??? It's the 27 T phaeton, exactly like you asked for in your first post. What you said right here, showing you, they have issued the 27 phaeton within the last ten years. You asked why they haven't , but they have

We all want to know more. There has been no formal announcement from Round2 on either the 34 pickup or the 77 van. It's only thought to be coming because a retailer put it on their website as a future release. So, there are no details yet.

This is looking good. That color really pops! Try Tamiya white primer next time you're spraying whitewalls. It has less of a tendency to crack over time on the flexible tires, and has the right sheen.
