  1. I see that you dug a little deeper in that "trash" monogram 32 roadster kit and found some of the good treasures in there. The dropped I bean front axle is very nice, and the rear end with buggy spring is easily adaptable to those Revell kit frames you just bought. Also, that Monogram roadster has really nice Ford brake backing plates. I also see that you bought some of the Revell newer tool 32 roadsters. The last version of a roadster released in this kit series is the Rat Roaster version. While a complete new tool with some cool different parts from the rest of the series, its parts fully interchange with the rest. Here's some of my 32 roadsters since you said there was a lack of 32 roadster content here. Please share your build when you get started. Not as hot pink as it may appear, I need to take better pics of this one
  2. I enjoy Bitchin' Rides and Iron Resurection. Down to earth owners and crew on both, and beautiful builds. And they have personality without drama, that's the key for me. I think Speed is the New Black has some potential too. I've only seen a couple episodes, but it seems pretty good. And of course, Chasing Classic Cars. My favorite is when he has Moal Coachbulders design and build a hot rod for him. I don't care for some of the details on the actual car, but it was cool to watch the process and see all the artwork on the tables when they were going through design choices. Moal Coachbuilders are amazing craftsmen.
  3. Dennis, stumbled upon this build while looking for something else. I remember it being pretty sweet. Any chance you could fix the broken botopucket links?
  4. I've had one of these 34 coupes forever, and finally scored a Minicraft 31 roadster to kitbash it with (traditional suspension and flathead). What's wrong with the Minicraft Model A kits?
  5. Very nicely done. I love clean scratchbuilding like this. Looking forward to more.
  6. So JC, now that you have the decals, does that mean this one is back on the bench? Or are you waiting until you finish your sweet Falcon gasser?
  7. Yeah, I wonder too. Anyone have the last reissue of this with the green car on the box from a few years ago. Any issues with the body in that one? Doesn't sound like they're restoring the cool exhaust headers from the original issue, bummer.
  8. Well, hope everyone enjoyed this thread while it was open, because now it will probably be locked. Dwayne, while I do understand you being upset by your situation, maybe this thread wasn't the best place to air your grievance. Because now what was a very informative discussion about many long closed aftermarket businesses and their products will probably be locked down, preventing any further discussion. Hopefully the admins will see fit to leave it open as long as it doesn't escalate. But there typically isn't much tolerance for this sort of thing
  9. Build came out very nice, and thanks for sharing the pic of your header jig
  10. No, I didn't get past the stage of stripping the paint. It looks like a fun little kit if you take a little care with it. Hope to return to it someday armed with your assembly tips, thank you
  11. I've often thought a resin retro conversion kit for the Dream Rod might be a good idea, depending on how many unique parts are necessary for the conversion. Anyone with a Dream Rod in their stash that could do a comparison, or at least post some pics of the kit parts?
  12. So, this begs the question, are these parts newly tooled, or did they just open the gates on the 57 tooling? If these parts are newly tooled then I have no problem with Round2 selling them separate from the kit to help pay for the tooling expenditure.
  13. Bill, I'm not really a big fan of fenderless Ford bodies newer than 34, but your 36 looks incredible. I think it may have to do with you moving the front axle forward? This thing is sweet
  14. The 29 roadster is coming first, we even got a shot of the new boxart last fall. It seems like everything coming scheduled from Revell Q4 2017 and Q1 2018 is behind (whether that is a result of the Hobbico bankruptcy is still just speculation). The 30 Coupe is supposed to come back next, and I'm sure it will. It was too popular in it's short run for them to just abandon the project. Give it time.
  15. I'll definitely pick some of these up next time I'm there. thanks for sharing
  16. I'm intrigued. Are these replacement nozzles for their standard aerosol spray tips? Do they offer any benefits since they are obviously a different design? Maybe even a better spray pattern like the Tamiya tips, or am I asking too much?
  17. Very nicely executed build. I know those doors can be a pain to get looking good. I love the color too.
  18. Man, that's really going to pop once you polish it. You're in the home stretch, can't wait to see it done.
  19. Cool concept. I especially like the clear tonneu cover. Nice build
  20. This is a real beauty Steve. It's subtle, but really grabs the eye. A great companion to this other one off your bench, which is one of my favorite builds of all time. They're just sooooo right
  21. Marcos, this is a real beauty. But I've come to always expect that from your bench. Thanks for sharing
  22. Nice to see a build from your bench Matt. Keep them coming, this one is stunning
  23. One of the best Little T clones I've ever seen. Very well done. Rear cheaters, did you make them or are they aftermarket? They really sell the overall look
  24. Love the picture frame idea, great presentation of a unique vehicle. I've always loved that vehicle since the first time I saw the movie. Just too cool.
  25. I really like this, very clean build. I like the air cleaner, also really love the realistic looking roof insert. Great stance too.
