Revell Deuce Tudor being reissued
Mr. Metallic replied to OldNYJim's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
No, Brians in Dekalb. Not so local ? Majors is my LHS, it's only 20 minutes away. I'm sure they will have some soon. -
Clean build of a classic kit. Nice to see it done in the blue instead of the more common metallic red or bright red.

Nice clean build. Classy styling and great color choice.

Revell Chopped Deuce Tudor I finally finished it
Mr. Metallic replied to magicmustang's topic in Model Cars
In regards to Revell kits engineered in the mid-60's, in particular their hot rods, in my opinion it's not a matter of quality control. Speaking as a person that does quality control for a living, their kits were designed with a breakdown of parts to elevate the level of scale fidelity of the parts that as a results makes many of them small and fiddly. As a result it can be challenging to get them assembled cleanly. Gerald, your build came out great. Thanks for sharing! -

Revell Deuce Tudor being reissued
Mr. Metallic replied to OldNYJim's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
My not-so-local hobby shop just received some 32 Tudors, so they're hitting shelves and distributors right now. -
That's similar to how Round2 is selling kits in Walmart. it arrives as a premade and stocked display that the stock person can just place on the floor. No muss, no fuss. Once the stock dwindles they move the kits to the shelves to allow something else in the highly coveted aisle space.

Like others have said, great color combo, and the stance is spot on. Nice clean build.

1960 Chevy Fleetside Pickup
Mr. Metallic replied to 70 Sting's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Nice clean build despite all your troubles with it. How come you didn't get replacement parts from Round2? I hear their customer service is really good. -
Nothing wrong with that, just directing people to more 32 longroof goodness.

That gold one is stunning in it's simplicity. Such a clean build and killer stance. The in-progress one is looking good. Nice stance there too. -

Like i said in your Son Of Ford 2.0 post, I haven't been here a lot lately, so I missed this post until now. I'm drooling ? You said to share the Monogram 32's i have, so here you go. All polished plastic. -
Hello my friend. I haven't been able to spend as much time at MCM the last couple months so I just found this post. Awesome stuff Of course, you knew you had me with anything to do with Monogram 32' roadsters. I like the unique changes you made to the SOF to make it your won. And thanks for dropping my name and the praise for my little Big Deuce. Here's a link for those who are curious

AMT 1957 Chevrolet Cameo
Mr. Metallic replied to Jonathan's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
You are correct. But the OP didn't want to get bogged down that's why I said it "can be just a U shaped piece" which to me would be better than the gaping hole that AMT gave us. -

It shouldn't really bog you down I wouldn't think It's can be just a U shaped piece that fits around the bottom of the interior tub and takes up the space between the interior tub and the body. -
That body color just POPS!

First off Marty, I'm glad you are bringing this one back to the bench again. You keep teasing us with it at KKIM when it shows up on the tables. It deserves to get finished. That being said, I love everything about it, with the exception of the new hood scoop. But digging the Corvette bumps And the top has to stay!
