  1. Many years ago I drove the length of the West Camino Cielo which starts at Santa Barbara and goes near the old Reagan Ranch near Refugio Canyon and exits in the San Ynez valley. Not that I am suggesting you buy one, but I did this in a 1973 AMC Matador four door sedan. A damned near bullet proof car. Very rocky road and some points are very steep. Only damage I did to the poor sedan was a hole in the gas tank which I plugged with a bit of chewing gum. It was a former SBPD detective car with a 401 V8. LOL
  2. I hope you asked the manager to save all partially started kits for your use. Pop a bit of money to their cause and all is golden.
  3. https://www.motortrend.com/news/volkswagen-international-scout-ev-pickup-truck-suv/?wc_mid=4035:23032&wc_rid=4035:31300887&_wcsid=7E780861500BE34744A2F56AAF61793993BA001B41AA849E Interesting.
  4. They go from about $33 to close to $40 depending on the kit. Canadian $ is a bit more. Be aware that some of the kits are re branded Monogram NASCAR models from the 80s. The 70s era cars like the Oldsmobiles are Salvino's own tooling. The new 2022 NASCAR is Salvino's own tooling. All are nicely detailed.
  5. I had thought that the Johan Turbine came earlier, which had a vinyl top as well.
  6. At least you got both body sides. My kit is missing the passenger side
  7. Interesting custom job. I would have kept it all GM instead of the Audi engine. LS all the way.
  8. Nice car. I have that 190 SL kit. Opened the box and the passenger side body panel was not in there. Are you willing to part with the panel?
  9. Hi, just a suggestion on the paint. NAPA sometimes will have the exact color mixed for you in a spray bomb. Get your paint code from Chrysler paint lists online and go to NAPA with it. It might cost you about 30 bux for the paint. You can get single or two stage paint. I recommend single so you won't have to clear coat it. I know my local NAPA can do it. They have an outside supplier make the spray bombs. Practice a bit with it to learn how it lays. Tamiya TS91 green is very close...a bit darker but not much.
  10. I just got my #213 issue. I have noticed that this was my last subscription. I had thought I had already re subscribed and expected to see the new sub noted. Did I actually subscribe or did I imagine I did and forgot to renew?

  12. Mine did too, but it gave off a weird smell when I opened the baggie. Never smelled that before.
  13. Here is what the 50 looked like. Note the weird wheel openings
  14. I never seen this car although l live 15 miles away from the town it's in. Hope to see it.
  15. Definately one of my favorite Buicks. I owned two real 64 LeSabres. One a 4 door hardtop, the other a 4 door sedan. I bought both of them for $50. Drove the hardtop from Wisconsin to Santa Barbara California. I then drove it around for a year or two and finally gave it away to a person who needed it as I had another car by then.
  16. Did not know this even existed until I saw it at Focus Hobby in Fond Du Lac. Was 20 bucks. That's pretty cheap considering what they go for on ebay. Yes, it came home with me. The prepainted body looks pretty good. No drips or mold lines that I could see.
  17. I do currently own a 1980 Seville. I really do like the bustle back styling of it. Mine's a diesel.
  18. Am I the only one who thinks this is a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica?
  19. What station? I thought she was a stripper from the bay area.
  20. Milwaukee had their own version...TV Lennie. Could not find a commercial where he gave away bicycles with a purchase. He would yell Get a bike get a bike get a bike
  21. Got the Moebius 70 Ford Pick up today for it's inline six engine to put in my Bronco build.
