Hi, just a suggestion on the paint. NAPA sometimes will have the exact color mixed for you in a spray bomb. Get your paint code from Chrysler paint lists online and go to NAPA with it. It might cost you about 30 bux for the paint. You can get single or two stage paint. I recommend single so you won't have to clear coat it. I know my local NAPA can do it. They have an outside supplier make the spray bombs. Practice a bit with it to learn how it lays. Tamiya TS91 green is very close...a bit darker but not much.

Subscription renewal.
lordairgtar replied to lordairgtar's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Thank you -
I just got my #213 issue. I have noticed that this was my last subscription. I had thought I had already re subscribed and expected to see the new sub noted. Did I actually subscribe or did I imagine I did and forgot to renew?

Mine did too, but it gave off a weird smell when I opened the baggie. Never smelled that before.

What car is this?
lordairgtar replied to peteski's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here is what the 50 looked like. Note the weird wheel openings -
I never seen this car although l live 15 miles away from the town it's in. Hope to see it.

Definately one of my favorite Buicks. I owned two real 64 LeSabres. One a 4 door hardtop, the other a 4 door sedan. I bought both of them for $50. Drove the hardtop from Wisconsin to Santa Barbara California. I then drove it around for a year or two and finally gave it away to a person who needed it as I had another car by then.

Did not know this even existed until I saw it at Focus Hobby in Fond Du Lac. Was 20 bucks. That's pretty cheap considering what they go for on ebay. Yes, it came home with me. The prepainted body looks pretty good. No drips or mold lines that I could see.

I do currently own a 1980 Seville. I really do like the bustle back styling of it. Mine's a diesel. -

ICM models and the Ukraine.
lordairgtar replied to Racephoto1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have an Opel Admiral kit from ICM and a resin commercial Ford truck cab from a small maker. Both great quality. Hope our Ukrainian friends are going to survive this. Huge Ukrainian community in my home town of Milwaukee. Ukrainian churches, Red Cross are excepting donations to help the cause with medical and food supply and other things they may need. One of our members of the forum (Tor Henning) was in Ukraine traveling with his girl friend visiting her family when all this broke out. They made it out crossing into Poland...they are safe. -
Great work as usual.

Has anyone tried this chrome marker?
lordairgtar replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just another version of a chrome finish marker. I don't think theses are as shiny as Molotow (close) but they are a bit more durable. After 15 minutes, I could touch the surface without dulling it. -
Nice to see an early build of yours.

Where can I buy undamaged new kits
lordairgtar replied to louie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I can just imagine a new inmate is in the cell and the old convict ask what's he's in for. "I'm here for embezzling funds from my job. What are you in for?" "I used a USPS box to ship FedEx" -
That axle also had disc brakes installed. Many went into other Ford cars and hot rods.

Something in the door line is off on the model. It does have that dogleg line but the real car is not as severe as the one on the kit. Windows could be enlarged at the bottom too.

1965 Oldsmobile 442(from an AMT '64 Olds 442) - FINISHED
lordairgtar replied to crowe-t's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Just some beautiful work there. It's not easy changing a car to another year. Plus adding the car's individual custom touches that make it unique to your friend's car....WOW.
