  1. I just meant what you're doing with the fan. The 3 pieces mounted to the front of the engine meed to be sanded to fit tight together to minimize interference. I know it all glued already but your work on the radiator-shell fit may make taking this apart unnecessary.
  2. I really like this, a Chevy Rod! I'd wish those portholes had a touch of the Molotow Chrome Pen on them ...the contrast with all the tastefully done chrome distracts.
  3. I'm amazed how much of the parts besides the Inlines are so interesting and well done. This is going to be a memorial run.
  4. That looks like an accumulation of clearances. Is there some added clearance of the grill against the radiator that could be made by scraping the shell? I can see the large gap of the shell against the frame ... should fit tight there. The engine mount seems very positive. Everything in front of the engine looks tight, but a lot of space could open here by filing all mounting surfaces, especially the fan belts mount. Just food for thought.
  5. Keeps looking good. Those bumpers are classic.
  6. I'm not sure what to say, but a beautiful build of an 'unusual' subject! Now, I can't wait to see what custom versions come of this!
  7. This makes my eyes sizzle!
  8. Welcome to the forum where many of us are in your shoes. I've been retired 10 years which gave me time to do whatever I wanted leading to a model shop in the basement. I too take pleasure in building all the cars I've owned.
  9. Some new snacks. I don't understand why my model building has slowed down, must just be age.
  10. This is just exquisite and, FYI, there's oil leaking on the deck ...
  11. Is turning a 944Turbo into a naturally aspirated considered hot rodding it? LoL
  12. Everything and more ... Hires Root beer Baseball Cards
  13. That's a beautiful build! I bought a 1:1 '59 too, same colors as your '58 here ))
  14. That's a good weathering job ... and the story is the best! ))
  15. How many actually BUILT all those mass quantities of kits??
  16. That's a really good build! The chrome job on the front VW is especially well done! I had so much trouble masking it to paint for my Dad's '56 I decided file it off and cast the separate emblem from the Revell kit to use.
  17. My paint shop is in the basement which is 62 to 65 degrees all year long. A dehumidifier runs all year long too. The hot pan of water was my usual warm up for spray cans. Since getting a Dehydrators I warm the cans in there since it's more convenient than running upstairs for more hot water. ))
  18. I really like it ... those flares look just right!
  19. That's a gorgeous build and I like your rendition!
  20. I spent a summer in this car, though black 4-doors, working for the Connecticut Highway Dept. taking road surveys all over the state, and never a break down. I didn't think they looked half-bad.
  21. I've done some fine 3D printing at Shapeway and I'm interested in how smoothing the spokes comes out ... just washing and maybe with a toothbrush?
  22. Another beauty! It was good to see Ontario is enjoying the great summer as we in New England are. ))
  23. A friend born in Auburn would be shocked at the driver placement, but I think this is cool and looks great!
