  1. Fantastic what's going on here!
  2. I like this and the engine is just right.
  3. That is stunning!
  4. Even with my grand kids an hour further south it's too much going on here this year ... new grand daughter just arrived in Testors Pink. Everyone be sure to post pics for us wanna-be-there's.
  5. This is a new item from Micro-Mark to square up 90 and 45 cuts and I'm wondering how I ever did without it. just clamp rounds and flats in and use a file to square it off. This is the small which could handle most of the small tubes I use. There is a larger one also.
  6. I'll be following and enjoying your build, for sure.
  7. Those decals just pop ... this is looking amazing! I had a '72 145 and have always loved what Volvo does for wagons.
  8. Very nice job, that's a beauty. I have a spot for Europas as I had planned to buy one while stationed in Germany to be sent home when I got out of the Army. That never happened, but I still have a kit I'm planning to build ... and I bought a Triumph TR4A when I returned in it's place..
  9. That's wonderful. You can tell good weathering when every surface and mark has a different story. Yours does!

    Dad's VW Bug

That's a great story ... can't believe Two-In-The-Pocket . ehhe It's best when you build something you had ... looks good!
  11. Throw the kids in and lets get going! Wonderful!
  12. You're doing some beautiful work here ... I don'y want to think how many repairs I'd need to make those sharp door lines.

    65' Impala

That IS a beauty ...I like the interior piping.
  14. Nothing said by anyone more than two years ago could be worth anything. My newest build was started over two years ago.
  15. I jumped into fabricating a mirror and am pleased with how it's looking ... a couple progress shots ..
  16. Nice fit on that nose ...
  17. That just looks good and is a real color classic .. well done!
  18. A shiny Jag engine there, for sure .. beautifully done
  19. I'm not speaking much, but I'm here enjoying the story unfolding ... I'm really enjoying the small detail parts evolving from nothing ...
  20. I looked and that is very close, but I'd have to buy a kit. I'm making progress and it's god as done if I can get a good slice of the bucket end.
  21. I'm getting an itch to get back to my TR4A as the weather slowly comes out of Winter. I needed a outside rear view mirror and, after polling the forum on where to find one, I just went down as recommended and made one. Here's a shot of the mirror in question ... I used a chunk of sprew in the drill and shaped the main body. The large sprew even had a center void to allow drilling a hole down the middle for a brass pin! I found an old beadlight bucket in to Old Parts box and flattened the end after drilling a center hole. This is it at this stage and I believe it will look close to the 1:1. It's going to be tricky sawing the bucket to a small sliver, but a lot of filing may be in store near the end. I'll cut a disk to insert for the mirror in the end. The hole in the main cone will get a pin with a slot like the original. Then. a brass pin where the arm is and trapped between a couple .02" flats which will be sanded to shape. Where's my Molotow Pen? This was to last missing piece. I worked on refining the clear red taillights that will be trimmed with Molotow Chrome. Did a little paint pickout on the chassis and got the wheel metal axle mounts fixed in place. I ordered interior door handles from R&M so it will be a bit before they are placed ... maybe right at the end I hope.
  22. I appreciate all the help coming up with a way to make this mirror. After all the hem and hawing I just went down to the shop and stuck a chunk of sprew in the drill and shaped the main body. 23. wow ... that is my mirror. Finding a copy would probably take 10 years, though.
  24. I'm leaning that way for sure, even the front mirror face should be easy enough. A pin with some filed plastic around it for the arm.
