  1. Very nice start ... those turbo openings are so good! This version of the 924 Carrera GTS is the one to use a 944 to start as the front fenders are as close as they got before making the 944. The GTS photo you had used in your other thread is closer to a 924 body, which is why we all said to use a 924.
  2. )) I'm 72 going on 16 ...

Building cars like this is one of the best parts of Model Cars, especially when compared to models of just about everything else. I built a hot rod from a computer mouse and a VW and had more fun than the staid '57 Chevy! eheh Very cool!
  11. Very nice .. the little details make it.
  12. I needed gauge rings for a TR4A I am building and for the small ones I found some metal transfers that were easy to apply and look good. This is a current ebay listing for them. I used the 3rd largest rings. The large gauge rings are PE. The Dash gauges, wood, ash tray, glove cmpt. outline and two small lights between the Spedo and tach are a color print I composited using a scan of a wood sample and photos. The rings give it a believable depth.
  13. weathered just right
  14. Great idea, wonderful execution!
  15. I've been liking this as it progressed, but, THAT HOOD JUST KILLS! ... offset air? eheh
  16. This is looking pretty cool ... what better way to put an un-plowed truck back into action!
  17. Nice job putting these together in that manner. It all looks natural.
  18. I was stuck 3 hours north, but waiting for the first photos to show ....
  19. That is! Seems there must be pieces someone could build it from ..
  20. That black looks smooth
  21. One that's not boring ..
  22. Progress on mirrors ... The body is done and I am very satisfied with how it looks. For the mounting arm. I first tried gluing two strips around a pin and sanded to shape. Both got too thin and failed. This pic shows the two pieces before destruction. I also worked refining the red tail light lenses to receive some Molotow chrome. Then I just used a round piece and made it a bit oval. I used Molotow but it didn't come out well. Maybe needs better washing and some finer sandpaper on it.
