  1. I doubt there's any problem asking for help here, we all just love to talk cars ... just try and stop us! I'm not much help with a Model T but just wait ... !
  2. I had to go back and read the question again ... I have control down in the shop.
  3. Ace has trouble with both relationships ... Builds and Babes
  4. I got much cleaned up and stripped on the '21 LaFrance Speedster. I cut the rear metal body down with small bed sides for stowing gear. The hood side will be cut thru the louvers to allow the exhaust pipes to pass, very similar to the blue one I'm using for inspiration. The running boards all around have been removed and the pump under the seat removed and replaced with a wood box ... might metal finish this with access door. The front cowl needs to be made completely. Hopefully hand formed plastic will work.

  6. This puppy has been sitting from the 2009 Lions Drag Strip Open and, as usual, I got too much into detailing it. I don't think it would take much, but need to go down to the shop and see what stalled it ...
  7. This is recent with my new Scale Model ...
  8. I've spent the past seven years slowely working on reproducing the Triumph TR4A I had from the old Air-Trax TR4 kit. Now I see they had some more complete kits with the TR4A and % that would have eased all the things I had to create, like doing a 3D Print for the unique turn signal castings. I still wish they would post some photos. Their quality is very high now, not as thick as this OLD TR4 casting I have.
  9. That is a Show Room build ... what Chevy had in mind when thinking of the Cameo. Your work, subtle and exquisite, makes it a pleasure to see. I remember sanding out that grill forever, but SO worth it!
  10. Airfix Triumph TR4A 1/32 This 1/32 of my holy grail of a 1:1 I had. This even had an engine. It got replaced before starting with an Air-Trax resin TR4 ... no -A. 3D Printing has saved that by allowing me to model those -A only front turn-signal lights and housing! The 1/32 Airfix goes to bottom of the pile. .
  11. Bah, I was in Angola for college and it never snowed before back east ... still snow free in western MA.
  12. I found publishing that letter was extremely tasteless on the part of the editors.
  13. Welcome back, Dominik. I always enjoyed looking at your builds. I'm in the same funk, I think, and am trying to get inspired to do some building too. I have many on the table to finish, but of course, I got something new for the Peking to Paris community build.
  14. I did get the VW front emblem from a Revell Bus which is a separate piece and then cast it in Bondec. Thar worked pretty well, so I should get back to it! eheh
  15. Beautiful!
  16. The Magnum roof really works .. nice job!
  17. I suspect someone from MCM Forum had something to do with that!
  18. That looks good from every angle!
  19. This is running in the Peking to Paris Rally CBP and is a American La France Speedster, which ran the 2016 and 2007 P2P. The Speedsters were converted from the Fire Pumpers with 4-cylinder 14.5 Liter engines. This is a Signature Models 1/32 scale die-cast 1921 LaFrance Pumper. It's all apart with the glued sections in the freezer. I'm leaning toward just piling everything on the back with a flat platform built for the race., like the blue one shown. Note the nice engine for a small scale, at least for me. The big thing will be the exhaust pipe.
  20. Sure must have been fun populating all that!
  21. That's my kind of equipment, thank's for posting, Bill. As a structural engineer I've got close to many large machine's and cranes. I was un Combustion Engineering's Pipe Hanger groupe for Utility Boilers where we hung the boiler pipes with 3" Diameter rode with huge clevis' over 6' long. I designed Ladle Bales scooping up molten metal with huge capacities. Cranes with 250 ton capacities. I've designed (and repaired) many Paper Machine foundations and equipment and been in over a thousand Paper Mills for one thing of another. I love the big numbers in structures! I can appreciate what went into these giant unloading machines. I'm not surprised how smooth they ran. And, they were designed with slide rules!
