  1. I just haven't gotten it yet, but I know I will. I have the European Truck Simulator and playe dit quite a bit. It is simple scenery and towns but it just hooks somehow and I loved driving over Europe thru places I've been. American TS is the same game, polished and with American rides. The scenery will continue to stretch across the country with expansions.
  2. That stance is right on.
  3. Tidying up this point as things start crying out for paint and assembly! This is everything laid out ... not that many parts, though I think I made (or borrowed) more than came in the kit. The underside of the chassis is being ready to accept the wheels and copper axles in a fixed position. The plastic TR3 chassis fits into the resin body with no movement .. almost a snap-tight fit! )) The resin axle shafts were replaced with 12 and 14 gage copper house wires that fit perfectly into the PE wire wheels. The exhaust pipe will be replaced with an aluminum one that will show the open pipe sticking out the back.
  4. everyone's out digging through the old pile of boxes in Mother's basement
  5. I've been working on mounting the PE wire wheels and had to make a metal axle for them as the Air-Trax kit came with resin axle shafts. Glue is drying on that fitment but in the meantime I finished the dash with some pe rings for the dash and speedo and some stick-on metal rings on the small ones. I wish I could get larger rings as these went on easy and look great!
  6. A stunning build!
  7. Thanks for showing that ... in more detail than I ever expected when I asked! Everything you said about the staggered pillar cuts makes sense. This will be in my mind on every top chop from here forward.
  8. I really like your body ... that chop is magnificent in how it blends in. I was studying your cuts and is interesting how you cut the A and B posts. Did you add to the roof length? A photo showing the top cuts would be cool if they show.
  9. Welcome to the forum ... from the Heart of New England! I'll be looking forward to seeing your builds.
  10. The difference in the side shot of the stacked bodies really shows a difference! I wasn't so sure when you started that it would be this significant but it really looks different. That was very interesting. Now you're going to have to build TWO versions so the difference is so apparent!
  11. what a great way to store old parts! Love your build!
  12. I really like your build and that color really sets it off.
  13. I was just impressed at the fan belt design on that machine.
  14. My condolences, Jon. Glad to see the patient pulled through looking fine!
  15. I do like it thou
  16. The "Jihad Joe" play set is even molded in desert tan. I see you and up you One GI Joe ... on leave
  17. They had to make one part per door instead of two. It's called "business". There are many ideas on how to save money, some not so good.
  18. YES for a Golf! Now it's time to model it .. is there a kit of that one?
  19. The weathering is spot on . done naturally and the colors blend with the display beautifully!
  20. The wear points are well thought out ... looks fantastic!
  21. Beautiful builds .. razor sharp!
  22. Welcome to the forum, Thomas. That's a very nice build. I guess I build in your manner ... I've been hooked into building cars I've owned and these daily drivers get worked backwards mostly into the version/model I had. It's fun work for me. Will be looking forward to your build posts.
