  1. Thanks for that, Tommy. I've done a few before but all copies of ones I had and never looked to lower ... this makes me feel better.
  2. I usually smell cut plastic, but somehow missed this start. Beautiful bodywork there! I'm here for the show now.
  3. I really like this iteration ... that paint makes it! Sky Blue seems to be the new white.
  4. ALL '50 Fords should be sectioned. I like it and good to see something from you. Peter.
  5. Good to see this return! It's looking magnificent!
  6. Very cool! great job depicting "as shipped"!
  7. 1949 Volkswagen Split-Window Sunroof Sedan Resin Conversion kit  from Best Model Car Parts. I am really happy about the quality of these resin castings! Now, how do I lower the Tamiya '66 ...
  8. That there is a real beauty! I like the darker wheels
  9. I've sure opening a spray can has been discussed here before, but couldn't find the thread ... someone will have suggestions I know/ this has been fascinating!
  10. That's pretty cool. I never knew they came in such outlandish colors at the time!
  11. What ARE those wheels .. I really like them on this car .. kind of spoke-like. I like it overall too!
  12. That just pops! Nice work!
  13. Always a fan of "low as it can go" I really like what you've done here, just, PLEASE, don't ever make me drive one of these!
  14. I like where you're going ... partial to the '41 Plymouth as it has the same engine as my first car .. the old L-Head 6 I stole for my '51 build. And you give me ideas of what to do with the leftover '41!
  15. I have a slew of threads going as most of my builds progress in spurts. I like making them as documentation of the build for me. Most of mine are of cars I've owned, so I'm prejudiced. I do try to make updates to the build at significant points edit the thread title with date and what changed. Some will complain if you don't finish it in a week, but others like seeing the small updates. It's your thread so just do what feels good to you.
  16. I loved that car too ... a cool starting point!
  17. Don't think I've used red tube glue, but I haven't used any tube glue since I was 16 (1962). I use Model Master Liquid Cement which glues as well as tube glues and is much easier to use. It also has a long life, better than tube glue, IMO. (the link is just you see the product I'm talking about)
  18. letting ADD rule your building is the best part of this hobby! It lets me work on so many different cars.
  19. This is pretty cool, custom bodywork like the 1:1 coach builders did back then. ))
  20. First, welcome to the forum, Louis! With your like of different scales just remember Model Cars Magazine ... try it, you'll lie it! And Pat ...my great ... grandfather came to Canada in the same year ... maybe they were shipmates! He was in the military and was from northern France as far as my Dad determined. My father spent a lot of time researching his family, but it all went blank finding the French Connection.
  21. I like that you're using real rust and watching to see it in the end.
  22. I'd be going down Cato's road. These are very credible and work well. If the rivits have to be brass color, it might be your drill needs excersizingg.
