  1. I've been spending my time getting the axles fixed in place so the wheels are centered and will just slop through a hole in final assembly. You can see a bove photos that axles are just metal rods through the chassis but they are near the top edge at the rear and I'll run out of adjustment getting the wheels up tight to the top of the wheel wells. The fronts are done. Here's some lightened pics from the side. You can see how I have to move the rear wheels and get the rear body down. Those PE wire wheels sure look good though!
  2. I DO have a neighbor I could use those for!
  3. a lot of work there ... very nice
  4. A beautiful tribute, build and detailing! Cars I have had seems to be where my most fun builds are nowadays .. this one looks like fun.
  5. This is very entertaining seeing some metal cut up and put back together!
  6. Enjoy Daddys Day and come back after a couple more .. best way for these things. I lost this somehow but I'm back in the watch .. coming along very nicely .. very clean work.

Any granddaughter wanting a car on her shelf is a keeper! Well, they ALL are, of course. Very nice. My grandsons think cars are ok, but they are still too young to build any. My daughter, on the other hand, has wheels in her blood but it too busy driving to build anything. So she gets many of her rides built by me for her welcome shelf. (good lord .. she's turning 40 this Christmas!)
  8. That sure looks good up on wheels!
  9. Thanks ... they are supposed to be the same as far as mods are concerned. There is an empty Mod folder there so I'll try that. I did not locate that info with all my searching.
  10. I see Steve FULLY answered the question, but I caution everyone trying the match a color to a digital photo you found ... all you will get is a color that closely matches the photo you found, however that relates to the actual car you're matching is anyone's guess.
  11. I find it quite unforgiving that the few Mods I looked at give no instructions as to how or where to install! I've been playing games and adding mods since DOS days and there is no excuse possible that could covr why no file to explain installation. Must be my old habits as I started using computers in 1964.
  12. I got it too and so far these cops in the States have speed traps everywhere! I have so many speeding tickets it's hurting my advancement! They patrol red lights a lot too. In European Truck it seems I never had to pay too much attention to lights and speed. It's the same game but does feel like everything in it has been tweaked. Can't wait until New England makes it in . ehehhe .. like in 15 or 20 years! And, AZ has been added to the game and is a free add on.
  13. Very Nice! My Dad also had a 1965 Ford Galaxy 4 door, AKA "Rolly-Poly". This car leaned so much in turns I was afraid to drive it and never asked my Dad for the car!
  14. I used a Ford SHO from a Taurus kit in a hot rod I'm working on. It's a really good looking V6, IMO. I just added a transmission from the junk box and turned it 90 degrees to convert from front-wheel drive.
  15. Probably a straight 6 or 8 in it now,, a good fit
  16. Lincoln came to my mind first when seeing this
  17. I was pulled into this as someone who never looked at or crossed paths with a Pinto but was seduced by this kit ... especially by the tire description! I bought one. So, what will I do with it ... researching rusted out Pintos!
  18. a great looking build!!
  19. Cameron gave a great presentation on these PE welds and I'll be getting some. I don't want to butt in too much here, but I have one decent photo of the Archer resin weld decals for comparison. Both will have their place in my welding booth. I welded the doors shut on a dragster body ..
  20. That makes a very regular, by a good welder, weld line. Looks good in the photos and price is pretty reasonable (saw $6-7). I have only used Archer's resin weld decals and they have a more random pattern.
  21. that stance looks dead on to me .. especially in the low shots
  22. That truck should be a fun build. There are many threads here about adding rust and dents. Here's a Google search of the MCM forum on 'rust and dents' that will get you going. I made a rusty, denty 55 Cameo that will give you something to look at .. many of the things I did are explained in the thread. Mostly I ground out behind where I wanted to rust until I was almost through the body and picked off the thin edges with a knife. I still have troubles getting dents to look just right, but most seem to use heat to soften the plastic and press a "dent shaped object" into the body. Many here can give better advice on dents. Be sure to show us your progress on this beauty!
  23. Very cool conversion and I envy that black paint job!
  24. having a blast watching this exquisite work ...
