  1. Nice vintage colors....or are they new again. This should be a great build.
  2. Can you post a picture of what's in the flyer?
  3. One thing to remember, this was a one time release. Many stores didn't carry it because it was satanic. Dodge only offered it as a Demon one year due to the public pressure and the Demon became the Dodge Sport. From the 1971 model year, I'd bet this was MPC's lowest production annual kit.
  4. I love this!!!!!! Great build with so much to look at you realize every picture you mentioned something. Question, you mentioned laser welding. Can you share more info?
  5. The paint is so period perfect for the late 1960's-early 1970's.
  6. Looking at this, your methodology could be helpful on a couple of projects. What kind of speed were toy using on your mill? What kind of guide did you use. They look wonderfully accurate.
  7. I'll admit I've ignored this era of Rivera for years.....I can see one getting started on my workbench.
  8. Also, the intellectual property I'm sure has long been abandoned.
  9. Those hinges look ugly on the build up. Wait a minute......they're ugly on the 1:1.
  10. I do believe you need to call this the Ghost for ghost of SLM.....
  11. I love this build. The blood stains on the concrete are tremendous.....looks real. This is an interesting get to get ahold of. I tried to order one from my LHS. It's still listed in the catalog but that it won't be available until after the first of the year.
  12. Bob does look like fun.....was it originally a toy or is it the Revell kit?
  13. Bill......great method.
  14. Beautiful build! Clean and nicely detailed.
  15. First off, Joe I'm sorry to hear of your personal challenges. I fear many of us have had those and had to put our hobbies on hold. As for the build, when you can please show off this work. I bet there are many like myself who have this kit, opened it with great hopes and then felt it lacked potential. Your build is showing this kit does have potential. I look forward to seeing it finished.
  16. I remember photos of the funny in Car Model magazine. Car was impressive in black and white but to see it in color is amazing. I never knew about the tow rig. Absolutley stunning work and to think it has survived all these years.....wow!
  17. I'll end up with the Monkeemobile in that packaging. I remember "helping" my Dad build that when the show first aired.
  18. Nice build on a kit I never knew excisted.
  19. Nice build so far of what may be the number one kit for modelers to either take a hammer to or stomp on. Seriously, I wonder how many of these were M-80 bait in the 60's?
  20. I think I could shave in the shine from you Chi-Town Hustler.
  21. For my money, the Jo-Han Cuda is better. Revell's was a nice replica of the first S&M car while Jo-Han's was either a late season version or the next year. Both bodies are a bit funky.
  22. It's good to have you back! Is the 1/16 Revell/s Hawaiian? If not, where did you get the front wheels? Looking at it, it has a lot of nice enhancements from the stock kit like the steering wheel and the mount for the starter.
  23. No way I'd believe anyone would have survived that. I hop you find a simpler build both encouraging and fulfilling. Sadly as we age, many of us will face challenges in that our skills may diminish.
  24. I'm quite surprised to see the chopper. It will be going home with me.
