  1. Sadly I've heard its scheduled to return....Nifty car but name five of them that ran.
  2. I disagree about the '57 having a limited market. Tom McEwen's name on an iconic body (57 Chevy) seems like a great way to test out the market for smaller scale funny cars. This combo has more built in sells potential than the Olds (either Miller or Force) Tempo (Bud King) Mustang (Meyer) or Avenger. The best alternative would be the Prudhomme Pontiac (although he seems tied to Round 2 at the moment). I doubt we'll ever see the War Eagle again. If the '57 sells reasonably, I'd be getting drawings of the Pepsi Challenger yellow and white car done hoping Pepsi would allow it. Other options would be Blue Max livery for the Mustang. I just don't see the other bodies ever being re-released. It's hard to name any one car using those bodies that are iconic enough to sell. The 1/16 Green Elephant seems to be doing well but is that because of it being the Green Elephant or is it the scale?
  3. Besides the body and tin, everything in the McEwen car was in the Olds, the Mustang and Tempo. Yes a few differences such as wheels but parts interchange. What would be really cool would be if Atlantis could mold up some new bodies for this chassis. Yes not a 100% accurate but it would be really cool to have a body to work with. Seriously with one new sprue, and the body and tins, this could get you 85% to today's funny cars.
  4. Absolute killer.....
  5. Even if its odorless I'd use a paint booth to limit the possibility of breathing the fumes.
  6. Could they have the last Revell molds and just be updating them to the new body? I know many believe the last Revell glue kits were the best Nascar kits released.
  7. Thanks....I love bikes! I also tip my hat to ranma.....perfect trade.
  8. Has anyone seen the reissue Hemi Under Glass at local shops or Hobby Lobby? I need two or three. I'd rather use the new plastic versus the gray goo the last reissues were molded in.
  9. I'll be watching....
  10. Can you post the newsletter or send me a PM with it included?
  11. I'd like to get another VW. Yesterday I went to three stores; Mt. Sterling, Ky, Huntington, and Dunbar WV. I found a few snap kit Mercs, Camaro concepts and Chrysler 300s. Oh, well.
  12. I bet when all Ollie's has to offer are Lindberg Stagecoaches, Civil War and Snark missiles, they limit buyers to ONE kit of each. ?
  13. Well, aren't you the bee's knees? Seriously, many objects we need for our replicas can be scratch built if we can just take some time and break the object down into its basic shapes.
  14. I'd love for a tutorial on how you built the body......very nice work.
  15. Wow....that's a huge upgrade.
  16. So when are you going to post pics of the model car?
  17. I'd love to see the motor retrofit and info on it. I've got one of these also twenty years old and would like to update.
  18. Dennis- I just found this. What a great build! Did you take any WIP pics and post them? Any hints for someone else who wants to back date this kit?
  19. I have the Monogram kit....it actually dates to the very early 50's or right after WW2. With that being said, Renewal. I know I'm late.....seems to be my life story.
  20. I'd check with the auction company and see if they have a global shipping program that would get it to the US.
  21. I disagree.....Pyro took a Monogram Big T and reduced it to half size. The XR6 definitely inspired the nose.
  22. The AMT 34 Ford looks real close.
  23. I wish there was a good place to see whats offered and prices.
  24. I'm looking for these tires and wheels in 1/25 scale. Any ideas of sources?
