I'm almost at the point where I'll be able to hook up my paint booth. As such I need to either put the booth on a table or taller legs. Do you find you get better results sitting or standing?
No real reason to get excited for the automotive modelers. The Apollo astronaut will be cool to have available. The two weird things I see are the Star Trek Enterprise. AS long I can remember, that has always been a AMT license. Finally the Da Vinci kits. Neat kits that no one will buy.
Very nice! Great story.
I have two other cars I'd love to model. The Boggs Brothers funny cars and the Kentucky Moonshiner. Of course decals are the huge stumbling blocks.
I looked at the Rod Shop Facebook site. Maybe this will help. Also, Car Craft did a feature on it after it was modified into an A F/X. I can't locate my copy. Maybe it would help.
I've lived through a fire. While our home was considered a total loss we were able to recover a few things. From what I've seen, the losses in California is far worse. I can't imagine it.
Nice model......serious question. Was this car body style popular on the round tracks. I remember Tri-5 Chevys, Chevelles, Novas, and Camaros but not the Impala. It was a whole lot of metal to throw around corners.
I'll admit I was excited to see this post. He was one of the icons who I got to know through these posts. I learned a great deal about the hobby from Bob and others.
I got to know Chad's mother while he was running. Chad always seemed like a good driver that always wanted to run better than the car was capable of. He often pushed harder than his equipment was capable of. I often think if he'd had better equipment he'd been a front runner. When he ran for Roush he was the R and D driver. If it worked well this week, the other four cars got the upgrade next week.
I just saw the injector. Forum rules prohibit my exact words but they were something like "Holy.........."
The red for the screw eyes for the butterflies. Seriously? Wow. Your eye for detail and your execution is at an artist level. Wow. Like oh wow......
Chris...."No, it's somebody's phantom creation . The Arial Black font is a dead giveaway; it wasn't available until 1982, and that's a much older Aurora logo."
Could it be Helvetica Bold? You know the font Arial is a knock off of?
Concerning the Aurora Urban Wreck. Was that a real model? I've never seen it in person or listed in Autoworld catalogs of the 60's. I do see the picture but until someone I trust says it was released, I'm doubtful.
