  1. I'd love you to do a tutorial on how you made the seat as well as the interior build up. Looks very real which is the goal of any replica.
  2. Two guys sharing an adult beverage. There's an International cab in the backyard. Looks at the other. "You know, LuiAnne has been moaning about wanting a new car." BillyBo, you need a truck. "I know." That red thing she drives ain't really worth much. Get me another. "You know they look like they fit together. Hand me that bondo." I work with photoshop almost everyday. If they're photoshopped, I'd tipp my hat to them. Although whoever did it has a sick mind.
  3. I'd look for the Revell Beretta Street machine. Body has over sized wheel wells and doesn't quite look stock. The wheelbase might be a problem.
  4. I've been having an urge to get a diecast like this, an alternative body style and see what I could do with it.
  5. I keep hoping that Michaels gets this. I don't have a Hobby Lobby near by and I'd really like to use a coupon for it.
  6. Have you been in my basement? Same problem although I am actually pulling stuff out. I've done soem nice work on an AMT Mustang II body that has sat untouched for fifteen years. I can actually see progress on it.
  7. The Shiloutte was one. Also include the '69 Corvair, '65 Pontiac, '63 Vette. There were several. May still be some on some dealer's shelves. They didn't sell very well.
  8. In today's market more so than in the past, what a willing seller and a willing buyer agree to. You may want to look at flea bay's completled listings as a guide.
  9. I so want these parts to try the same build. I've got the AMT ones but the Revell parts look so much "racier." Looks great and I'll be watching!
  10. I have to admit the Honda S2000 is one car I've always liked. I've thought once the kids go on to college or the PT dies, I'd get a Miata. After checking the price on these, in four or five years, they'll be a great bargain. I'd love to have one in 1:1 scale just like your build although I'd like the roll bars in either black or chrome oh......and left hand drive.
  11. The Clooney Batmobile......never existed. That movie was never released. At least any serious Batman fan wants to believe that. Actually all these Batmobiles seem to harken back to the Batmobiles of the 60's comics. The TV Batmobile looked nothing like what was in the comics prior to the TV show.
  12. Stunning......
  13. This is a combination I don't think I'd ever thought of. If you're wanting to take it a step further, what about the rear glass from the late model Corvette? When I read the title I thought that's going to be ugly and just not appealing. WRONG! I'm looking forward to see where you take this one. Looks like a good mental stimulus.
  14. One of the worst things about racing is that the legends we grew up with are slowly passing from us. I didn't follow Nascar when Cotton Owens was in his prime, but everything I've read tells me he was an amazing talent.
  15. This is so good.....I'm not sure whether I should be amazed or certain of my inferior abilities. You have done a great job on a kit that offers significant challenges. Your sharing of the build pictures are greatly appreciated. I doubt if anyone has ever built this kit to these standards. Salute!
  16. I'm pretty sure the Mustang is from AMT. I'm not sure when it was last re-issued. I remember building one. I would like to resurrect it also. Mike
  17. Ideal Toy Corpation made some interersting models. This one falls into the late 50's -early 60's category. I think the molds are now owned by Revell. It is in their catalog as 85-0328. For $10, I'd bought it. I doubt if it is worth a great deal more.
  18. I think the niche cars as well as the paint colors of other cars are a reflection of the economy. It has been shown there's a direct coorelation between paint colors and economy. With the current economic uncertainity, the dominat colors are those that don't show age nor make a statement. Notice the abundance of white, gray, silver and light blue cars being sold compared to vibrant colors like red and yellow. I think the vibrant cars fall into the same category. While these cars didn't have the get up and go, many of us would like, they did make a statement that connected to the owner. Now most new cars (look at the lack of convertibles also) are viewed as transportation with mileage the overridding feature. Performance and fun are mostly irrelevant to most buyers.
  19. Was this kit released as part of the Cannonball Run series? If so, maybe it was #39 in the movie. If not, I don't have a clue (of course I've often called clueless.)
  20. This is quite interesting. I look forward to seeing it move forward.
  21. Glad to see you're back on this project. This is so sweet on so many levels......
  22. Nice work so far although the hood scoop seems wrong for the car. I'm looking forward to seeing this one progress.
  23. One thing to remember is that in this era, the racers thought it was an honor to have a model made of their car. Today, a "replica" is another revenue stream. I don't have a clue what they're paid today but have to believe that the licensing is a whole lot more than what was standard during the '70s. In Funny Car Summer, Mike Dunn says his father received $500 plus 1.5% percent of the sales. Think John Force would settle for that?
  24. I have a 1/16 T-Bird that I've had for at least 15 years. I need to remember this project as inspiration for that kit. Mike
  25. I love it when photos are shown to prove your point! The pictures posted by kitswapper show in pictures one and two the wider Logghe chassis. Then another Camaro, which seems almost identical to the first without the opening door is built. There's very minor paint differences around the windows. This shows as Chevy powered but in the later picture shared by tbusch, the engine has the tell-tale distrubutor up front and valve covers of a Hemi.
