  1. Excellent work on this logger, the changes you made like stacks and mirror brackets really stand out. Very nice!
  2. Outstanding build Brian! The rusting technique is very realistic, and the box of parts on the front seat is a nice touch.
  3. The new release hasn't shown up on ebay or the local hobby shops yet, but the round 2 YouTube video shows it coming back this fall, along with the Mack DM800 and the Peerless logging trailer. It can be used as a standard flatbed if it's not extended. I built an original kit back in the 90's as a covered wagon. W900 & Great Dane covered wagon by Jim Gavin, on Flickr
  4. You are doing an excellent job on probably one of the toughest kits to make look good with all of it's issues. Just when you think you are out of the woods you'll get to the cab ladders. When they are glued together you will find that the opening in the cab is too wide for them to fit behind correctly, and if you do manage to get them centered in there, they are right up against the front tires. You may want to look at some reference 1:1 pics and scratchbuild your own. The one I have started has the openings filled in with plans on making stirrup steps like the ones on Ray's (SpreadAxle) in his photo above. Jim
  5. Beautiful truck and the paintwork is awesome.
  6. That looks excellent Brian! If I ever finish some of the many projects I have going, I have one of those L1000's sitting in wait for a donor chassis.
  7. Tough looking workhorse and your weathering and rusting techniques look so cool. How do you get the "flaked off paint" look? Infilling the hood logos with yellow paint is a nice detail too.
  8. That turned out nice! I like the Mercury bunk left in the raw aluminum color that a lot of the 60's and 70's rigs had. Also, you cant go wrong with a little window Pete.
  9. Personally, I think the horns that come in the KW and Pete snap kits by Revell are the best detailed (uncapped), and those kits are pretty cheap. Dave @ AITM has some that are similar made out of pewter that he sells individually. You can see them in the photos of his resin conversion kit photos. I bought some extras at the time I purchased some conversions from him and if I remember correctly they were only a couple of bucks. Hope this helps! http://aitruckmodels.com/
  10. Nice work! That's not the easiest kit to make look good with all of the fit issues it has, but your patience definitely paid off. One of the nicest L700's I've seen.
  11. I like the Great Dane reefer but I'm just partial to them. The doubles do look good on there too. Nice work on the daycab!
  12. You are the master of the vintage reefers KJ, this one is dead on.
  13. Perfect fleet tractor with amazing attention to the small details.
  14. That's a tough looking GMC. How did you do the windshields, did you fab your own moldings?
  15. Nice work! It looks good with the old style headlights. I also like the treatment you gave the mufflers.
  16. Nice work KJ! That Bill Bedell photo is my wallpaper on my work computer. You nailed it right down to the Markel decal on the trailer. Jim
  17. That is nice!! I've never built this kit but recently picked up a couple of the "Papa Trucks". Does the roll cage come in the kit or was it scratch built? Jim
  18. Nice work, the weathering looks great
  19. Your scratch building is second to none, that is some awesome work!
  20. Nice work on both the tanker and the display!
  21. Your detailing and weathering are amazing! One of my favorite trucks too. That P & P suspension is cool.
  22. Nice work on the Transtar! Wish I had the guts to carve open the doors on one.
  23. Excellent work on both the display and the rig!
  24. Nice work, this is looking excellent! I picked one of these up from AITM and was really impressed how thin the casting was, hardly any clean up at all. Your color choice is perfect!
