  1. Wow, nice work on the plumbing, and thanks for the info on what you used! I definitely need to try it on one of mine.
  2. Nice work on all! Good choice on the color and paint scheme, screams 70's.
  3. That's just what popped up on with the link. Click on it and there's an entire album of Pete cabovers.
  4. Check out the late Bill Bedell's flickr albums, there's plenty of period correct photos to get some ideas.
  5. What a cool idea, they look great!
  6. Saw this video from Round 2 this morning. As mentioned above, no turbine and 2nd issue box art for the Astro, but all new box art for the C-600. Truck release are in the last few minutes of video.
  7. 255" definitely looks great!! Are you planning on cutting the butterfly hood and hinging it?
  8. That tank is awesome, I've been wanting to scratch one for years. I saw a similar 3D printed one on the DTMC website but it would be nice to pick one up stateside. I saw Keystone is on facebook but so far I'm not. Do you know if he has a website or an email to contact him?
  9. Cool build, brings back memories of Matlack Macks pulling all sorts of tanks on the Pa. turnpike back in the 70's. Did you scratch the entire bulk tanker or did you start with the tank body from DTMC?
  10. Nice work on shortening the cab, cutting it on the door line was a great idea to minimize seam cleanup.
  11. I really like the looks of the WWS with a Pete or KW bunk as opposed to the Mercury that comes in the kit. Looking forward to seeing this build come together. Is that the mail order only "California Hauler" sleeper kit from the early 70's?
  12. Great choice on both the color scheme and the F model Mack
  13. I love the KW 108" cabs, look forward to seeing what you do with this one. I tried to get the LHS to order me a few of these when they were released, but the distributor told him they were gone as soon as they arrived. I couldn't even find one on ebay.
  14. My entry is going to be the International CO 4070A that I've had sitting around for many years. I'm not getting any younger so I figure it's time to start building all of these old kits, and this B.R.B.O. is the perfect reason to do this one. 20190110_183159 by Jim Gavin, on Flickr 20190110_183208 by Jim Gavin, on Flickr 20190114_055222_HDR by Jim Gavin, on Flickr The cab was painted white when I purchased it, but it will be stripped. I searched around the web until I found the look I'm going for On SF Stevo's Flickr site. Transtar by SF Stevo, on Flickr Depending on how long it takes me to finish the truck I may build the trailer as well if there's time left.
  15. I got lucky on this one and picked it up for $80 at least 10 years ago. Back then ebay bidding would slow down in the summer time it seemed but it's not like that anymore. People get ridiculous prices for this kit year round now. I figure it's a good time to build it.
  16. I'll hop on board with this one that I bought on ebay many years ago. The only thing started was the cab was painted white before I acquired it but it will definitely not be white when I'm finished with it. 20190110_183159 by Jim Gavin, on Flickr 20190110_183208 by Jim Gavin, on Flickr 20190114_055222_HDR by Jim Gavin, on Flickr
  17. Excellent work! I like the mismatched tires, and you did a great job on the weathering and all of the added details.
  18. Nice! You added just the right amount of rust and weathering.
  19. Are these in addition to the GMC Astro or has that one not been officially announced yet? Also, I hope the wrecker is the original t522 Unilite cab, especially since on the last few issues of the t501/t533 the molds were showing major wear. Tandem vans would be nice to see again too.
  20. Excellent work! Growing up just outside of Philadelphia in the 70's I saw a lot of these Pyle trucks, and you captured a moment in time with this one. Awesome detailing overall but I'm blown away by the inside trailer and load details!
  21. Love the Crackerboxes and paired with a mixer this will be cool!
  22. I'm curious to see what route you go with this one Ken. This "Marmon" is right up there with the Rubber Duck ERTL kit as far as being no where close to the 1:1 trucks. Does it come with the Peterbilt grille too?
  23. Excellent work! The SAR KW's are my favorite Australian truck and you did a fine job on this one. I like the mixed-cargo load as well.
  24. That turned out nice, especially hooked up to the lowboy! The kit tires look fine after you fixed the axle width problem.
  25. Excellent work on both the truck and the display, they look great together! I don't recall ever seeing an Atkinson modelled before, and I have only seen a handful of pics of the 1:1 trucks. Amazing work!
