  1. Maybe Don will be able to finish some of his LTWIP's . I Pray for a Happy , Healthy and Long Lasting Retirement as yon deserve . Keep active .. Thank you for all of your hard work . I always appreciated you both and what you've bought to this Hobby . As we say in the Hoosier ; "You're good people . May you always **** in High Corn ." Thanx ..
  2. I have the Modelhaus '58 Buick Limited . It is a Monster , longer than the contemporary Cadillac that year . I think the interior is much longer and deeper than the original . I had a semi destroyed warped Promo in my youth . The interior on the '58 Olds I am unable to help you with . Thanx ..
  3. John Heir , one of the Pioneers in Model Car Resin Casting made a '58 Continental kit . All these of the "large and in charge Uni-body Lincolns that out Cadillac'ed Cadliiac" MY's were all 2 dr HT Continential . The '58 Packards were Sport , not Luxury Cars and there was a Void in the Market . The '57 MY , Packard did not participate in . The '58's Lincolns Mark series *(ignored by all) had a portion of body surrounding the Canted Quads . Modelhaus carries both the Top Boot and roof . The Windshield Frame is the same for both choices as the Original kits . If there is a way to restore unstable Cyclonic Plastic , I think it would be well known . Anyone want to try for a "cure": ? Thanx ..
  4. I will come to the defense of Resin Casters NOT having a updated Web site . Why don't you Do it for them if this is so important to you ? The people targeted are the Best in the Business IMHO . You won't understand how a Small Business works , Resin Casting works , nor how managing a Website works until you do IT . I rather Kevin , the Holthauses , Norm Veeber and a few others continue on with what they continue to do . Time spent on making product and GETTING Sleep and Family Time is just as important than working . I missed my Children growing up being an OTR Driver . I regret this and do not want anyone else to do the same . BYW Kevin , you have one interested party in your products keeping up to date with you sir . Kevin , Don & Carol , Norm , Dave Dodge , Ed Fluck III , and every Caster I've contacted did respond . Even in the days of sending a SSAE for information .. There was one Caster that is a dishonest exception . I will not continue to flog this Dead Horse . We know who he is .. Thanx ..
  5. I am in for the '55-'57 . Packard V/8's , GM Hydromatic Transmission until the Fire . IMHO , '56 MY the First AMC V/8 ? IMHO , beautiful cars . Way better looking than the '91 - '96 Caprices . I would even be in favor of going backwards beyond the original "Step Down" . You know that Interior Floor design still used in passenger cars today . Along with the HVAC system used today that AMC Pioneered . Thanx ..
  6. I guess I had better clarify some information here . As a young man , I learned what the appendages are for . A family member owned a '41 Stud without these , originally called "overriders" . I was with he and Dad in a Parking Lot . The Lot was on a Hill . As he parked , before he could apply the parking Brake the Stud lurched over lapping the Bumpers upon another Car without them . Quite a bit of "jacking" Safely (lol) on a Hillside to separate the 2 Cars . "Gaurds" were optional equipment devices for decades in the Automobile Industry . So , when cou;ld we expect the Wagons and Rancheros . I am in for one each ; Ranchero + Wagon - '57 - '58 - '59 . Afterall I did feel compelled to buy the Tri-Five Nomads . Thanx ..
  7. I just received my '64 Cutlass Kit from Bandit today . It has been less than a Month . I have no problems ever . This is my 3 rd. purchase , I am happy . Thanx ..
  8. This is my favorite Era . (Actually one of my Favorite Eras) . Not quite enough information for me to get this right . A Nameplate would be helpful .. lol .. She's a Beauty .. I am lost again . Thanx ..
  9. Only a cash Flow will stop me on this one .. Thanx ..
  10. The only difference of the Bumpers from '70 My to '74 MY Barracudas / 'Cudas is the size of the Bumperettes . Thanx ..
  11. I don't know how I missed this until today . I will pray for you and pass this , your trial , into His hands . Recover soon .. God Bless .. Thanx ..
  12. All I have on this one is DUH ? I know what it is , I just don't know the name ! (or year or model) .. Come Friday , I am going to have a ;'Oh yeah moment ." Thanx ..
  13. Yes Harry . please keep us hopping . I've seen this Windshield arrangement on Hupmobiles . I have a WIP of one of these as soon as I get a Glue Bomb 1909 Hupmobile (made by Hawk or Kaysun or Strombecker) I guessed on the Year from the Military Wheels and the Tire Size . Although , I do not believe the White Walls were appropriate on the '15 My . 1913 is when Carbon Black was introduced into Tire Production . This innovation was a lab Accident while trying to develop a longer wearing , dependable Tire . Premium Tires would be all black . IMHO , the White Walls appeared around 1920 MY . I did allot of Tire Research as the Veterean and Pioneering Cars hold a special place in my Builds on display . Thanx ..
  14. I do not get here often . The wooden boats caught my eye . I collect / build anything 1/25 and when I am forced to do so as the subject is only available (in) 1/24 . I have a Dumas 1/24 Scale Chris Craft Sport . It will have a "warmed up with dual Carbs") '48 Lincoln V/12 . A family member had one equiped like this when I was young . It made an impression on me enough I am making a tribute build of it . Now it seems I'll be looking at All the Rest for some of your builds . . Welcome and Enjoy .
  15. Perhaps Art will be able to answer this . Does anyone else remember the details about the Strombecker , Merit - Aurora , Monogram Indy Car were ? Specifically , were these the same Dies ? The Aurora Indy was a re-pop of the '53 & '54 Winners . Is the Monogram the same Kit with updates such as Battery / Motor then Working Steering ? ? I am speaking the Front Engine Roadster Type Indy Racer . IIRC , the Strombecker is a NOVI ? Help ? Thanx ..
  16. I do know Shawn Carpenter made a beautiful '68 GTO Conversion kit . It is a Ragtop . The Interior and Boot are part of the Package . IIRC ;Chassis / wheels / tires / Engine and Transmission / Windshield are lacking . Has the : "Rubber Baby Bumper" molded in and a Separate Hood . I checked his site last year , it was still offered . Thanx ..
  17. I watched this Super Car develop from the '70's sometime with New Car introductions . I think the last I heard about this Company was re-organization did happen and plans are made once again to introduce and produce another Model . Anyone else have any information about this Vector Venture ? So , my score is 2 out of 433 ? I appreciate this Harry .. Thanx for your Work to bring this to us ..
  18. I too have a pair of "Stick 'n Tissue" kits . A Stinson (Reliant and SR 7) WIP's . The SR 7 is my third or fourth attempt to finish this kit . Fourth kit , yes A scale prop and wheels are some of my sticking points . The Big Radial I scratch built by copies of the Engine for 3 D . Straight Pins I used for the Pushrod Tubes so prominent on these Engines . As with The Wings and Tailplane warp-age is really a major roadblock . The previous 3 did not happen until the Tissue was applied . This try , I've left the parts sit without going forward with the skin . Still warped beyond UGLY . So , I've pinned these back onto the the Plan / construction board . After a year , these parts returned to proper shape . I cross braced and clear coated to seal the wood . I followed this tip from an RC Expert . Don't know how well this fix worked yet . . I have to re-locate also . In have a WIP of a 1901 Curved Dash Olds . The Body will be Balsa . All my Modeling is on hold and will remain until I unpack after our move . I will watch this WIP . Don't give up the (Air)Ship ! Thanx ..
  19. Henry Ford was frugal .. not cheap . He abhorred waste . I do remember reading this Floyd Clymer account concerning the floor boards . Whatever Henry did to get this done , he did Put the World on Wheels . I appreciate this review . I was hesitant to find this kit . I think it is on my want list . This will remain there until I have one in my meat hooks . Thanx ..
  20. I am with jbwelda . Giving a place and information about Products is not Free Advertising here . IIRC : Asking for and giving actual costs for a particular item is Free advertising . Moderators , please correct me if I am wrong .. ? ... So , where to get ?? Thanx ..
  21. I do better on Real or Model . It is a 50/50 thing . lol .. Thanx ..
