Excellent work on the mods. The paint scheme and colors look right for the era. Sweet looking cabover! David G. -
It's coming together nicely. David G.

Way too Cool! David G.

Thank you Carl, it's good to be back. Whether we inherit problems or create our own, it seems that we never really solve them. We just periodically trade them in for a new set. David G.

Hello Everybody! While most of the rest of the world was distracted with that sportsing event, I managed to get some bench time with the Ol' Lambo. Yeah, the Ol'd Lambo and I are kind of on that familiarity level where we have nicknames for each other. I'm not gonna tell what it calls me . Still focusing on the chin spoiler I'm to a point where just a little more sanding and filling should have it ready for paint. Before that, I'll need to make certain that the spoiler and fender flares meet in appealing way. To do that I need to permanently install the flares. For the most part, the installation went well enough. Not having any positive attachment points presented a bit of a challenge as did having a nearly final coat of paint on all of the parts. I did have a bit of a mishap though. While applying Tamiya cement to the right front flare some of it wicked under my thumb causing damage to the paint. Feeling the cement wicking under my thumb caused me to reflexive move it off the piece to prevent any further damage. This of course caused the flare to shift out of position causing additional paint damage as the flare dragged the cement across the body panel. It looks like paint was the only casualty. Hopefully the cement wasn't in contact long enough or in amounts sufficient enough to damage the plastic. In any case, this certainly isn't the worst incidental damage I've had to repair. As I say, "Model builders, we're problem solvers who create our own problems to solve!" As always, thanks for taking the time to look, and please feel free to comment. David G.

That came out great! The silver stripes work really well. David G.

Crazy good work on the decals! The overall model looks great. David G.

Your airbrush work looks great! It took me quite a while just to learn how to lay down a good coat of paint and you're already doing custom masking. And quite well I might add. David G.

It's a shame that the green wouldn't work for you, I thought it was a cool color. I'm sure whatever you come up will be great. You've already had one happy accident with this set... David G.

The chassis is coming along quite nicely! I love all the extra detail you're throwing at it. David G.

Opening grilles can be tricky, it looks like you have a good jump on this one. With a little more cleanup it could still turn out great (grate? ). Seriously though, I've found that the brisk and careful use of a medium stiffness can be good at cleaning most of those annoying styrene burrs. I have an old manicure brush that I use in situations like this. David G.

truck, boat, and trailer

Top of the line work on both the car and the boat! Building them as a matching set makes for a beautiful one-of-a-kind model. David G. -
Nah, I'm not a sports fan. I'll be keeping my head down, staying off the streets and trying to get some bench time in. I live about ten miles from the stadium and most of the traffic is confined to that area so it's not too bad. David G.

First a spinning fan and now working headlights... ? Awesome! David G.

That's one sweet little coupe! David G.

That is one great looking Camaro! I agree that the silver decals are a better choice than white. I think the white stripes would have worked well if the interior was white too. David G.

The body and fenders on the Auburn look good. So do the tail lights and bumper on the Chevy. I like the decals on the silver one. Did they come with the kit or are they custom? David G.

Great job on this one! The color reminds me of the green that was used on some of the vintage How Wheels cars. David G.

Great looking Chevy! Nice color combination. I built this kit a few years ago and found it an enjoyable build. David G.
