Hello All, here's the next update. Polar lights thoughtfully provided a mask template for the complicated paint scheme on the hood and nose. Knowing that it would probably take me a couple of attempts to figure out, I made a couple of copies to fiddle with. This is obviously going to take some work to get sorted. If I can get the radii symmetrical and properly positioned, the rest will fall into place. If anyone has experience with this type of masking and painting and can offer tips or suggestions, I would certainly appreciate the help. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to offer comments, tips and suggestions. David G.

Spectacular work! With the right setting it could pass for 1:1. David G. -
Hello All. This is my first time painting a figure and my first time working with resin and I have to say that I'm rather happy with the way it came out. I'm making this as a companion to the 49 Mercury Joker-Mobile that I recently completed. I bought the figure on line, it was originally offered as a part of this kit. For painting, I decided to use the box illustration as a guide. The rifle is from the parts box and I fabricated the dynamite. Since I intended these to be a set, here they are together. The figure seems a bit too large when compared to the car, almost like it's actually 1:24 instead of 1:25. But they'll look good together in the display case. As I mentioned, I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out except that now I'm feeling the need to get a Batman figure. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

Thanks David. Thank you Chaz, I'm glad I went through the trouble of doing it. I think it's a little too thick but it's like I say, "Each kit I build is really only practice for the next one!" That came out great, thanks for posting some pics. I always enjoy seeing what other builders do with a kit. David G.

I did a search on the Spine Buster car just to see what your inspiration was and I have to say that you made a great choice for your starting point. I can see that you put a lot of work into the mods and you quite effectively captured the feel of your inspiration. Well, done! David G.

Hey Yuns Guys, here's the next update. I think I'm done with this one. Overall I'm pretty happy with it as it is but I'm trying to decide if I want to try to clean up the eyes just a little more at the risk of messing them up or just Dulcote it and call it done. (Opinions and advice are welcome.) Of course the Dulcote will remove the shiny on the coat and hat. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to offer advice and comments. Hello Everybody, it's time for a minor update. I decided that I wanted to stencil the windshield and rear window with a black border like most cars currently have. Here's how it came out. It looks a little thick when installed but overall not bad for a first attempt Here is a test fit with the stenciled glass installed. The excessive doesn't show too badly against the black interior. The molding flaws have been cleaned up and the body has been polished. Stenciling the glass was the last thing I wanted to do before painting the orange stripe. I have no more excuses. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to leave a comment. David G.
