  1. Very cool work here! Your countertop is extremely realistic. I believe this technique is referred to as "hydro-dipping".
  2. Doesn't matter where it is, it's amazing!
  3. This is small potatoes when it comes to being irked but - When you finally spot something for sale on eBay that looks like an ok deal, get an offer from the seller that's even better, then look at the shipping and realize the seller is making up for the low price by padding the shipping. The price ends up being the same or more than other sellers. Annoying, but easily avoided.
  4. You have my attention! I have one of these kits and am very interested in seeing what you do with it. Good luck!
  5. Don't lose too much sleep over that. I visited an Ollie's about an hour away from me and it wasn't a great experience. The store was dirty, the cashier was surly and the whole place felt horrible. But then, again, it was just before Christmas. They had 5 Monogram kits to choose from and I took home three. I'll probably never go back unless I'm just in the neighborhood.
  6. Why would you resell it if you just got it?
  7. Bill, this is my favorite of the bunch. I'm a resto-rod kid of guy and this ticks all the boxes for me. Color, stance, wheel choice, etc. Your execution of this build (as well as the others) is something for us all to aspire to.
  8. Ahhh, thanks very much!

I think this is the specific one that Carl is looking for. Carl - If you can't get one otherwise I'll hook you up.
  10. Very nice work. Love the color and interior work.
  11. Can't see them either. Perhaps intentional?
  12. I love how this came out! You've really done a great job. It was definitely worth pushing though the doldrums to get to this point. The rest should be a cakewalk.
  13. Outstanding build! Makes me want to break out one of my 41s.

If I can chime in...that's the one. With the cowboy hat. I think there is the same figure less hat in the Little Coffin model.
  15. I didn't see your post before I replied with almost the same thing. Not being a Brit, the whole "Damp Squid/Squib" thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me - but I get the drift. I have to agree about the show, funniest stuff ever. My kids found it and shared with my wife and I. We watch it still whenever we need a laugh. I bought the set on DVD years ago and hung on to them. Soon all the streaming services you pay through the nose for will be charging for the privilege of watching your favorite shows...oh, wait. They already are. And forcing commercials down your throat. Is this the "What Irked You?" thread?
  16. My kids still watch that all the time and they're in their 30s! They also really like rifftrax.
  17. The Corvair and the Honda hit the sweet spot for me. They're all very well done.
  18. Wow, what a great canvas you have to start with! Sometimes things like this can be a real catalyst to get motivated.
  19. Way cool! I never knew either of these existed.
  20. Very, very nice! Love the color!
  21. There's actually a bit on this very topic in "The IT Crowd", which is a hysterical British sitcom. Check this video at about 5:30. (Not endorsing this you tuber at all - he's terrible and I don't understand watching someone watch a show and making inane comments.) But the show is great!
  22. I acquired this one fairly recently. I found out about it while looking for the Carl Casper phone booth kit. I think it qualifies as rare but there are a couple on eBay. Parts are all accounted for including the acetate for the windows and the rubber band to activate the "wheelie" motion. There is a bit of assembly started on the motor and the figure.
  23. And they will continue to do so as long as the "dogs" continue to lick it up. Unfortunately.
