  1. Who doesn't love a huge box of possibilities?
  2. Wow! Nice bunch of old built-ups!
  3. Man you had yourself a good day! Congrats!
  4. Man I would have added some rust and weathering and sent it! Too bad, it was beautiful! May be the second time is a charm?
  5. Fantastic news! Thanks very much!
  6. For those of us that don't do Instagram, could you please let us know the gist of the message? Glad to here it's positive news!
  7. Hah! I was just looking at that! (See above)
  8. Now that is nice. I went looking for more history on this car and found this enlightening article on the Hemming's site. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2014/01/03/lil-coffin-ii-the-full-size-tribute-to-dave-stuckeys-show-rod-heads-to-auction
  9. All I can say is...man they butchered that poor thing. I mean it was the 80's and all but the design choices made by Starbird lend a lot of credence in my mind to the idea that Stuckey did the original design.
  10. Well, we will see. That's a really interesting design, if not beautiful. I'm painstakingly removing all of the glued parts that I can from one another without breakage. It's nerve-wracking. We'll see what I have left when I'm done!
  11. I was extremely fortunate to obtain this lot for the princely sum of 20 bones. The kits on ebay are insanely priced now. It's interesting to read about the history of the real car. There's a thread on here and some other internet chatter about a guy named Dave Stuckey who worked in Starbird's shop, who claimed that he was the designer and creator of the car.
  12. You are correct! I am uncomfortably aware that there's no way I'll ever build all of my kits.
  13. Yessir, you remember correctly. In this case the figure is new and unused. I hadn't realized it was the same figure as the Boot Hill Express minus the hat.
  14. Picked up this lot of Li'l Coffins from ePay. Looks like I can more or less build at least two "stockers" from this and the rest will only need imagination and trips to the parts box. I will have to supply tires for all of them.
  15. As if model building and this are mutually exclusive!
  16. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
  17. Beautiful! Also you might tell the owner to stock up on steering boxes. Looks like the first pothole is going to take it out!
  18. This whole truck is coming out great!
  19. Love this! One of my favorite kits back in the day.
  20. My favorite of the trio by far!
  21. Ummm - Honda 750 Four large scale kits. T buckets. And large scale car and bike kits in general. Part of my stash here:
  22. Nice. I’d drive that anywhere.??
  23. A little late to the party but great concept, story and build!
