  1. Lol! What it makes me think of is my 10 year old self trying to carefully apply glue out of a tube that never seemed to stop flowing. glue on fingers, work surface, and all over the model. I'm taking apart that Tiuana Taxi right now. It will live again, but maybe with some donor pieces.
  2. I have several marked at 40 cents on the lids. I also got these three Pactras in a kit I bought at some point. The silver is unused and viable. The black is barely used and good too. The yellow is separated and I can't seem to shake it enough to mix it. Anyone have any idea where Broadbents is?
  3. This looks great just like this.
  4. I find a perverse pleasure in making stuff like this usable. It's almost as if you're getting it for free.
  5. They're out there. Occasionally they show up on eBay for almost tolerable prices. I'm using this one for parts for another rebuilder that I have spent too much time on. We'll see what I can get off of it without too much carnage.
  6. This poor Taxi may have hauled it's last passenger. I got this in a trade and I am glad to have it to try to harvest parts. While I do like trying to save kits, this one is more glue than plastic. Things have been welded together with prejudice!
  7. Welcome from Central Texas Brian!
  8. I once bought a semi-rare watch from Ebay and the seller packed it pretty poorly. Then USPS crushed the box causing one end to pop open. They delivered me an empty, broken box and a note on how to file a claim...I'm not so sure someone at the postal service isn't proudly wearing my watch to work every day.
  9. Gotta love USPS. The only thing I can say is they are better (most of the time) than UPS, Fedex, etc...
  10. Where I live, potholes ARE the road. After it rains the county comes and grades it and it's smoother for a few days - but dusty.
  11. Hah! I just picked one of these up, too. Mine is not sealed, but new in the kinda rough box and it's the 1971 version. Glad to see I'm not the only one who finds this kind of stuff fascinating.
  12. I love this! You going to poke some holes it the fenders for the exhaust to exit?
  13. Had a great trading experience with larrymoo. Top notch guy!
  14. I've got a brand new package of BMF that's 20 years old...
  15. Awesome, thank you!
  16. My search function will not find any results. Not sure if this is related to missing content but the timing is suspicious.
  17. One of the best looking builds. Period.
  18. Hah, mine too! Nothing there…
  19. Never use a bank. It’s hard to tell them from the thieves sometimes.
  20. This build is getting better and better! I love your creativity in overcoming obstacles and adding detail!
  21. All this talk of psychotic appliances reminded me of Talkie Toaster...
  22. It's not supposed to...
  23. The other day I grabbed this. Seller said for parts, don't know if complete (It is, with instructions). There was also a complete Woodstock Woody mostly on sprue in the same box and a few bits from a third kit. This kit was just missing instructions. And...a 1968 version MPC Fire Truck, mint in a very nice box. This one does not have "Chuck Miller's" credit on the front of the box. Can you tell I'm on a C-cab kick?
  24. Losing a dog can be tough. I feel for you. Good to see you driving forward on the buggy. The sink looks brand new old stock!
