  1. Very interesting, Hanjo. Is there a big following for old U.S. cars in Germany?
  2. Stellar work on a difficult kit! I very much agree with leaving the fenders off. This looks much like the Monza version.
  3. Megahobby is an alternative I like. They ship free to lower 48 with purchase of $150 or more. I usually try to take advantage of this.
  4. Purple Power is Super Clean rebranded. Or it at least works the same.
  5. I've never seen a more realistic model!
  6. I'm going to have to strongly disagree with many of the names that have been floated in this thread, as I also disagree with many of the actual inductees. Just because it's your favorite band doesn't make them particularly worthy. While Rock and Roll is a broad genre, many of the listed bands are too fringe and don't have any staying power. They're the flavor of the month, so to speak. Their names will be erased from history and people will wonder why they're included. No one will ever listen to their music again. Number of albums means nothing. How many people did they reach? How did they affect our culture? Those are much more germane. I think the folks at the hall of fame feel like they always have to induct someone every year and make a lot of stupid choices doing it. Just slow down and see what stays around musically and culturally. Not that these awards matter in the slightest. It's just humans flapping their gums about pointless and petty things as usual. Yes, that includes me.
  7. Awesome. Nice take on this car.
  8. Ah...what? Never get rid of anything, especially older stuff like this. It's a rare and beautiful piece of art! Oh, and you're doing a killer job on it.
  9. Very tasty ride!
  10. Welcome back. Burnout is real. That said, I love this goat build! I,ve never had a GTO but I've had both a 66 Lemans and a 67 Lemans. The 67 was a similar color to this when I got it.
  11. Knowing how difficult it is to make a realistic model out of a Pocher, I'd say you've got a great example to be proud of. When you're done, I have read that cheap aquariums make great display cases for these monsters.
  12. Really neat little bucket!
  13. Love it! Great wheel choice and the stance looks like it really means business!
  14. What a neat car this would be in real life. I love it!
  15. Very, very cool! Everyone needs a hearse eventually!
  16. I love the "out of the box" thinking and execution going into this build. Keep it up!
  17. This is without a doubt one of the most impressive builds I've ever witnessed. This is the type of modeling that I aspire to but will most likely never achieve. Well done!
  18. Have to do some catch up here. I have made several purchases over the last several weeks. Forgive the lack of pictures - I'll get them up soon. Firstly, I have to give a huge thank you to Mark Cassidy (Grumpa). I bought a few kits from him on Ebay and he included amazing goodie bags with each. I don't have photos of those right now but it was everything from engines to wheels and tires to diorama bits, aftermarket resin and PE stuff and a whole lot more. Lots of fun just going through those items. As far as kits go here are my recent purchases: The Revell '36 Ford convertible (Car Show) and Monogram Pro Modeler '40 Ford convertible and Revell '41 Willys competition coupe, all from Grumpa. The Italeri 1/12 Alfa 2300 Monza, and the Italeri 1/12 Fiat Mefistophele. These are large and amazing kits with PE, wiring and other stuff. From Walmart clearance - The AMT Kenworth Transit mixer ($20.00), Hot Wheels 2010 Camaro SS/RS, AMT 1980 Dodge Ram, 77 Ford Van ($9), and AMT 1971 Beetle. I also just got the Moebius 64 Nova street machine and finally snagged a can of Revell Chrome spray from Megahobby. Time to let the wallet cool off...

    Yard Art

Man, that truck looks straight and saveable! Nice idea but kind of a shame for it to go back to the earth with so much left.
  20. I am interested in what this looks like. It is hard to visualize without a photo.
  21. I also am enjoying this Hudson. It's fun to watch it come together alongside Slotto's build. I have two of the Hudsons and a Chrysler 300 from Moebius that I'm itching to get into.
  22. I'd just use an appropriate gauge of wire, like bread tie wire for example, curl the end around a pin then dip in paint, maybe a couple of times if you want some girth to it. Drill hole in block. Install!
