I like a very few. Started with Roadkill and Roadkill Garage. I like the folks with a lot of personality that are entertaining to watch, even if they are hacks (intentionally or not). Content can be secondary. Gotta say, though, that I'm getting tired of the format. Feed the algorithm! Buy a T-shirt! Like and Subscribe! And now they're all sponsored and have to tell you about it ad-nauseam. Between that and Youtube starting to force commercials down our throats, I've really dropped off watching. To be honest, I have other stuff to do.

Really great coupe! Sedan is great too! I happen to also be working on a couple of 37 sedan glue bombs right now.

Good deal! I used to do this but it does get old and is frustrating when you miss out on something you want. Now I use a free sniping service with my highest bid and have a good night's sleep. -
Love it! I've got a 61 Falcon promo in much the same shape. Luckily There is the AMT 61 Ranchero kit for a donor...

Rebuilt '90s Chevy pickup

...dang near! Nice looking rig. Takes me right back a few decades, thumbing through those magazines and dreaming of the possibilities. -
I think the main reason for this is that the old fogeys like us are the ones with disposable income. Companies have to chase the dollars in order to stay in business, at least short term. I mean a single average kit is around thirty bucks. Also, younger generations are focused on social media and have incredibly short attention spans. Nowhere near long enough to actually spend the time creating something like a model car kit. Sadly, I just don't think most of the big model manufacturers will survive the demise of our generation.

1978 Dodge Truck

Not my first choice either, however, everyone has different tastes. I'm old enough to think 15's are great because I like the bigger sidewalls and the ride quality is superior to the big hoops. I really lost interest when wheels became more of a fashion statement and actually degraded performance in some aspects. Here is my 67 Lemans with "age appropriate" wheels. In my opinion, of course. -
Not a car but just snagged this lot of great diorama bits for the opening bid. I'm especially stoked about the gas pumps.

Organizing Aftermarket parts
redscampi replied to iBorg's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I like these Sterlite bins you can get from several places. I get them from Dollar General. I keep tires and wheels and other parts in them. You can see the contents through the sides and they come in a variety of sizes. -

Looking great! I love to see the creativeness on this board. Great chassis work. -
This is a really great looking build. The interior really pops! Also, nice save with the steering wheel.

FUNKY DEUCE: a modern low-riding '32 Ford roadster

That is superb craftsmanship! A great exercise of imagination - which is what modeling is all about! -
Really impressive! So much detail it appears real. At 1/35th it's even more so.

Question/New Topic for us Oldtimers

They do call it "practice" when it comes to medicine. I am continually amazed at the different outcomes that can be had by simply switching doctors. -
I have that kit and it seems to be of really nice quality. I don't remember what I paid for it but I know the shipping was not cheap as I got mine from Hobby Link Japan in a large box with many other kits. Thanks for the heads-up on the Amazon possibilities.

Good to hear. Persistence can pay off. Unfortunately, so many companies have outsourced customer service to locations where it's VERY difficult to even communicate, much less obtain said service. -

Geez, that sucks! eBay is going to eventually manage to bring themselves down through gross incompetence and reliance on AI. They won't be alone in that boat, either. If this kind of idiocy becomes the norm for them, people will get fed up and go elsewhere for their needful things. I hope you get your issue resolved asap. -

I use a variety of glues depending on the situation. Zap CA. Tamiya Extra Thin, Plastruct Plastiweld, Elmers for mock up. But I do like this for general assembly: -

I have found many sellers to waffle on descriptions: "I don't know if it's complete", when the instructions are right there. Just pure laziness. "You be the judge, look at pictures to be sure what you're getting.", then posting a couple of blurry pictures of all the sprues in a mixed up pile. More laziness. And the recent useless AI description trend just makes me want to shop elsewhere. Even more laziness.
