  1. Wow! This has been fun to watch.
  2. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the ol' 70's/80's swirladelic oil paint on water swirl technique, versus hydro dip film. The film is what I was initially asking about. I've also heard it called "hydrographics film" and "water transfer printing film". Regardless, I don't know how thick the film might be, but here is an 1:1 example:
  3. Nice to see one of these being worked on; it seems like you don't see the early Corvettes too often.
  4. Revisiting - this really looks sweet. Any pictures of a built example?
  5. Nice work so far, and that paint! Nice.
  6. Oh, my - that is a nice looking model! Just wow! Amazing! (I always thought a mainstream company would offer the 1st Dakota, since they were so popular... I'm glad you've created this) I'm afraid that I have a lot of questions! In terms of wheelbase, how does this compare to the 3nd generation Lindberg kit? I know that was only a snap / curbside, but I think the wheelbase is spot on and if I recall correctly, the wheelbase was the same between the first and second generation truck. Any chance you have the "areo" grill of the 91+ (or was it 92+) models? Do you offer an extended cab version? What about wheels like this one? Most importantly, how does one get a copy of your kit? Thanks for indulging my questions.
  7. Seems there would be a lot of options for one. Oh the possibilities .... Shelby Sport Sport Convertible
  8. Very nicely done! My Granddad had a 1984 Fleetwood; your build really brings back the memories.
  9. Oh wow! What a cool build! I'm glad Dan dug this up.
  10. This most recent issue, is the tried-and-true Cobra from forever? I'm assuming no changes? The last time I got this kit was the "Street Burner" boxing, which had great decals, but the overall detail and molding seemed to be less crisp than previous releases. thanks!
  11. Really nice work combining that dash and those wheels. Looks great!
  12. Thank you - I tend to build in fits and spurts. Lots of progress and then ... distraction.
  13. Oh, I wish I could take credit for that engine compartment! That's the work of Dennis (dino246gt). His Scout is amazing - here is the link to his build. Epic detail:
  14. Cool! Thanks for posting that! I've only seen a couple - ever. There was one near me for sale - it was pretty ratted out, but it was gone in a few weeks. Once in a while, one shows up at our local cars and coffee.
  15. Minor updates. Added a turn signal stalk to the steering wheel and cleaned up and installed the CB (more of a blob in the kit, but with some filing and painting ...). I also added "feet" to the rollbar. None of the parts are permanently installed yet, but I like where it's (slowly) headed ...
  16. Wow! Really nice work - the color and everything is just right!
  17. This is cool! Looks like a possible Batmobile or something
  18. Thank you! The one set that I ordered earlier - the detail is excellent! Thank you - planning to order some more.
  19. Just to confirm, before ordering another set of these beautiful wheels, 17mm is perfect for the Revell / Monogram 1/24 Cobra tires?
  20. Some minor details. Scratched up a roll bar, although it needs some tweaks for sure! ...and opened up the grill. Not sure if I'll attempt to replace the headlights or just paint them. and painted the dash.
  21. Wish I could take work for the engine compartment, but that is the epic work of Dennis (dino246gt). His Scout is amazing. I'm just trying to make something decently presentable.
  22. Be cool if the kit offered more than the V8. Or, frankly, any detail Thank you! Thank you! "Plan" may be too strong of a word for how I usually work! Thank you! Thank you! I hope so.
  23. Beautiful work! I love seeing these built. I have managed to gather enough bits and pieces over the years to hopefully build one someday soon
