  1. One of my favorite manufactures, wish Id bought more Johan kits when they were still on the shelves. You've really done a fine job on this one, are the hood pins BMF or other? They really stand out and look just right.
  2. Don't be discouraged - its modeling not defusing explosives. Each build you always find something to improve on or do differently. Ive got a pic of the old Frightliner coe we had on the ranch, yes you can see the rivets but very subtle. Not Titanic boiler rivets - I will find that pic and upload it for you later.
  3. You're making great progress and this is one of the best AMT kits out there for making different variations. I also backdated one back in my early years on the forum 2014 ? You can see the pics (maybe dang watermarks) and perhaps get some ideas
  4. Today for the loss of one of Nascar's legends Bobby Allison 1937 -2024 ?
  5. I love this !! The best modeling tools are imagination and a razor saw.
  6. Great looking Torino , love the color of it. I'll tell you sometimes it the littlest details that catch an eye - for me it was the upper radiator brackets. That is impressive for a kit
  7. That looks cold and miserable to be out in. I don't imagine there was anything comfortable about that. You've done a fine job with that kit and the added cover!
  8. Great job on the backdating , there is nothing you cant accomplish with a razor saw and some styrene sheet with these kits..
  9. That's a really fine looking buildup of one of my favorite drivers. I loved this era of Nascar.
  10. Simon you've done a great job applying your vision to this ship. You're a madman for painting those figures and adding them ,I have enough stress with the p/e railings. Looking forward to the Montana build !!
  11. This is some really fine work, love the detail to the office and what you've done with the engine. The FW's have always been my most favorite of Axis flavor aircraft to model
  12. I use to get a lot of my vintage truck schemes from real trucks that were for sale posted on ebay - many times you will find very detailed photos of the interior and chassis. I built a double sleeper IH 4070a from a photos of real truck that was for sale. The tread is buried here deep on the forum, but I'm sure photobucket watermarked all the pictures.
  13. Very cool, Varney RR stuff brings back a lot of memories. Do you remember the John Allen adds ? The original post was a bit back, did you get all your ore hoppers finished?
  14. I always look forward to your subjects! For a transport consideration - The 1/25 USPS Ford C900 combined with the MPC 1/25 72 chevy ramp truck ... Ive been meaning to do that combo for years.
  15. You can get several types of "Grump Lumps" made by Competition Resins as well as the Decals for this car from "Slixx Decals"
  16. Just in time for Halloween Ive been unboxing old builds that have been packed for 10 years - I loved looking the old "monster" models as a kid in the store. Didn't build any till I was an adult. Sorry wrong topic - could this be moved please
  17. The wooden engine is great, cover it with some thin styrene and bits to detail more and it would look really convincing. I always enjoy checking out your 1/32 fleet! I have a set of 10 rubber tires for 1/32 semi, if you can use them pm me. Yes I know you are in the UK
  18. I love it, one of my most favorite cars ever. Its cool you still have this car and it looks great for a 30 plus year old build. I still have that issue of Hot Rod magazine from my youth.
  19. That is a great looking old truck, first time Ive seen the JF tanker built into something.
  20. As the title says, I'm in search for a hood, doesn't matter if painted. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you Sean D
  21. I'm in awe at the level of detail on this build, you've done a really fine job. I'm looking forward to what you work your magic on next.
  22. Not true - I don't frequent this forum or post as much as I use to - But this is one thread I always check first as its good for a laugh.
  23. I also eagerly awaited this kit to arrive at the mailbox. You're off to a great start and the extra work is gonna make this a winner. Thank you for showing the details and I cant wait for the next update.
  24. I always look so forward to your "Cover Cars" - fabulous work on Landys AWB ! The Moebius release cant arrive soon enough...
  25. Single exhaust is actually pretty simple - Ive taken the kit dual and cut off the offending pipe at the split and used a sanding stick to make it flow into the remaining pipe. (wish I had a picture) You can also use solder wire to build your on piping coming off the turbo to the stack, or use bendy straw elbows and kit pieces of pipe for exhaust piping configurations. Practice and test fit to where you get something that looks good and doesn't interfere with other parts. I'm sure whatever you decide will look great!
