  1. Bengals get first playoff win in 31 years Twenty one (!) years since Paul Brown Stadium was built at taxpayer expense that they get to cut the shrink wrap on the trophy case....wonder if they know where the key is?
  2. My cousin stopped by to share that his dad passed away. Both of them are the very few family in my entire dysfunctional tree I even acknowledge. His dad knew his end was coming so he took it upon himself to make the arrangements. When he did pass, one of the other bottom feeder funeral homes called his son. Somehow with a straight face, he asked the caller if they did a Viking Funeral. The caller was puzzled and paused before replying that he didnt think they offered such a service. Ever since he told me he did that, all I can envision is the scene from Mel Brooks HIstory of the World Part I..... Well played Jason!! RIP Mike!
  3. Sadly some never grow out of it. I was a facility manager for a health insurance company and the female restrooms were always far worse. Even with the toilet seat covers (aka a** gaskets) some would hover over the toilet and hit the back of the toilet, flush mechanism and even the wall....and not with just urine. Feminine hygiene products being flushed instead of using the lined container in each stall and then clogging the toilet. What always shocked me was even with the disproportionate number of females in the office, the men's soap dispensers always needed refills more frequently. My favorite was having to put up a memo on each stall to NOT conduct cellphone conversations in the restroom due to numerous complaints from other females that they are uncomfortable completing their 'transaction' as someone on that call may hear them.
  4. Just gonna leave this pic here........
  5. About three months ago, Turner had a seizure two days in a row with the second day one the worst ones I've ever ever seen, even on line. He never had one before so I called the vet who got him right in. He had an elevated liver enzyme so the vet immediately put him on anti-seizure med. No issue until Christmas Eve and then again Christmas night when he seized again but nowhere near as bad as the ones several months ago. Got him into the vet Monday and they ran bloodwork. The vet did a thorough check and said if they continue and it's not the liver, he should have an MRI to check for a tumor. The wife was working so I was flying solo at the vets office and the lump in my throat was getting bigger by the moment as he's about 13 years old and I have serious concern about him getting knocked out for an MRI. The bloodwork came back late today.....his liver enzyme is the lowest its been since they have been checking it! It doesn't explain the seizures, but if it was higher, it likely meant his final countdown clock was moving closer. They upped one of the doses of his med and no issues since so we'll just watch it.
  6. Firebird, yes. The Cady was a different vendor at the swap meet.
  7. Swap meet last Sunday.... Jo-Han Cadillac. Bad box but and only missing one tail light. Very good chrome MPC Firebird. Traded off the collection over 100+ issues of SAE, SA (no E), MCM, Car Modeler for it. Looks complete. I believe this was the last issue WITHOUT the T-Top scored into roof
  8. That's so the recall notices can reach the owner timely.
  9. Detroit Lions......Arizona Coyotes.....FC Cincinnati.....all are considered 'professional' teams.
  10. Does this help move it up the list of To Do's? Plagiarized from the Web but I saw it in person a several years ago at the Packard Museum in Dayton OH. This is a factory built 1958 Packard Hawk convertible . It was built for Roy Hurley ; the CEO of Curtis-Wright . Saved from being scrapped in 1963, when Studebaker left South Bend , Indiana .
  11. I have a Jack Russell mix that fits that category. Lived in this town 50 plus years, never had a coyote. Suddenly one comes through the yard of the house diagonally behind us, jumps the fence and Turner goes full blast down the yard. My Aussie had the look like the friend at the bar knowing her buddy is about to get his *** kicked so she had to go save him.
  12. Reindeer antler impalement of a short in stature co-worker resulted in detour to the lone Urgent Care at the North Pole (just in case 'elf' is no longer a PC term)
  13. I use Firestone and I bring them donuts from a local bakery.
  14. 1/18 Ford Thunderbird When I saw it on an auction site, I was having thoughts of customizing it. However upon opening the package, it needs to stay as is
  15. The local newspaper had this on their website...along with my thoughts: How much should you tip for the holidays? Most experts say those who can afford it should typically tip: The price of a haircut to a stylist (I've doubled up at each haircut the past 18 months as it's been more than 6 weeks between so it looked like she sheared a sheep) The cost of one session to a trainer (I'm fat....don't have one) $25 to $70 to a daycare teacher (Anyone that deals with kids that are not theirs should be tipped well) $50 to a housekeeper (I'm my own housekeeper) $20 to a trash collector (I give the trash collector drinks, chips and treats year round as people drive like idiots around these guys) What about...... The vet/staff that will make a same day appointment for you when have a sick pet (couldn't get from the family Dr even pre-pandemic!) The local mechanic that will patch your flat tire the same day (back when we had to go INTO work everyday) FedEx, UPS and other delivery drivers...actually we leave out drinks and snacks all year which gets them to put things on the porch from INSIDE the three point line Rec league coaches. I was only tipped once which was very nice but I do it so the kids learn the right way. I was an asst coach when after one practice the head coach lit up one parent for treating it like a baby sitting service and was late to pick up their kid every week from practice. Newspaper delivery....just kidding!! I had cancelled my subscription due to delivery issues and they had the {expletive} to send me an envelope for a tip. I sent it back and told them it was well soaked on the driveway apron or in the street itself so they can retrieve it
  16. It's tough to support a small business when they post something on their Facebook page as having in stock but when you see it days later (I'm not on the computer every day) then dont answer e-mails, phone calls or Facebook messenger if its still in stock. They finally answered via e-mail over a week later. Sorry I sourced it elsewhere already.
  17. Mary Did You Know....by Kenny Rogers
  18. Sarcasm at a whole new level......And a worthy entity benefitted!!!! https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-bills-fans-raise-40-k-for-visual-impairment-charity-in-honor-of-referees-in-buccaneers-game-214558505.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall Well done Buffalo!
  19. Tuscan TVR...just love the unusual design all the way around.
  20. My former office location is just a couple miles from the UPS Depot. They would make deliveries by 10:30a, 3p and 5p (end of the day). Wouldn't it be cheaper to put them all on the same truck? I can ship a document via UPS ground and it makes it to its destination 250 miles away the next day. If I upgrade to two day shipping, it's more expensive AND it really will take two days for the same journey!
  21. I'm in for the Stealth and the Lincoln...... I had a Stealth albeit a base model as single, male and under 30 was a bad combo for the insurance rates! (even with a clean driving record) Lincoln.....big ole Detroit steel!
  22. After the city did a survey a couple years ago, the city leaders decided to not pursue a curbside recycling program. There are several dumpsters in an inconvenient location but they are regularly filled so the residents are doing the right thing. In that survey, I told them I had no interest as I recycle the pops cans from our house as well as the mother in law's Diet Dr Pepper addiction and all that $$ goes to a specific animal rescue. Now that inflation is up, the city decided to slip one past the goalie and start the curbside program at a monthly cost of $4/month....and no way to opt out. I will continue to recycle the pop cans for the animals so I'll toss a pizza box in the bin every week just to make it inconvenient for the driver to stop every week.
  23. It is a Signature. There were a couple other cracks in the back bumper so several areas had to be glued. The mirrors are missing but it was less than $25 shipped versus $100
  24. Not the best of pics as it's too cold to take outside..... 1/18 Chrysler Airflow. The front bumper came off in shipping.....easily fixed
