  1. I use Firestone and I bring them donuts from a local bakery.
  2. 1/18 Ford Thunderbird When I saw it on an auction site, I was having thoughts of customizing it. However upon opening the package, it needs to stay as is
  3. The local newspaper had this on their website...along with my thoughts: How much should you tip for the holidays? Most experts say those who can afford it should typically tip: The price of a haircut to a stylist (I've doubled up at each haircut the past 18 months as it's been more than 6 weeks between so it looked like she sheared a sheep) The cost of one session to a trainer (I'm fat....don't have one) $25 to $70 to a daycare teacher (Anyone that deals with kids that are not theirs should be tipped well) $50 to a housekeeper (I'm my own housekeeper) $20 to a trash collector (I give the trash collector drinks, chips and treats year round as people drive like idiots around these guys) What about...... The vet/staff that will make a same day appointment for you when have a sick pet (couldn't get from the family Dr even pre-pandemic!) The local mechanic that will patch your flat tire the same day (back when we had to go INTO work everyday) FedEx, UPS and other delivery drivers...actually we leave out drinks and snacks all year which gets them to put things on the porch from INSIDE the three point line Rec league coaches. I was only tipped once which was very nice but I do it so the kids learn the right way. I was an asst coach when after one practice the head coach lit up one parent for treating it like a baby sitting service and was late to pick up their kid every week from practice. Newspaper delivery....just kidding!! I had cancelled my subscription due to delivery issues and they had the {expletive} to send me an envelope for a tip. I sent it back and told them it was well soaked on the driveway apron or in the street itself so they can retrieve it
  4. It's tough to support a small business when they post something on their Facebook page as having in stock but when you see it days later (I'm not on the computer every day) then dont answer e-mails, phone calls or Facebook messenger if its still in stock. They finally answered via e-mail over a week later. Sorry I sourced it elsewhere already.
  5. Mary Did You Know....by Kenny Rogers
  6. Sarcasm at a whole new level......And a worthy entity benefitted!!!! https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-bills-fans-raise-40-k-for-visual-impairment-charity-in-honor-of-referees-in-buccaneers-game-214558505.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall Well done Buffalo!
  7. Tuscan TVR...just love the unusual design all the way around.
  8. My former office location is just a couple miles from the UPS Depot. They would make deliveries by 10:30a, 3p and 5p (end of the day). Wouldn't it be cheaper to put them all on the same truck? I can ship a document via UPS ground and it makes it to its destination 250 miles away the next day. If I upgrade to two day shipping, it's more expensive AND it really will take two days for the same journey!
  9. I'm in for the Stealth and the Lincoln...... I had a Stealth albeit a base model as single, male and under 30 was a bad combo for the insurance rates! (even with a clean driving record) Lincoln.....big ole Detroit steel!
  10. After the city did a survey a couple years ago, the city leaders decided to not pursue a curbside recycling program. There are several dumpsters in an inconvenient location but they are regularly filled so the residents are doing the right thing. In that survey, I told them I had no interest as I recycle the pops cans from our house as well as the mother in law's Diet Dr Pepper addiction and all that $$ goes to a specific animal rescue. Now that inflation is up, the city decided to slip one past the goalie and start the curbside program at a monthly cost of $4/month....and no way to opt out. I will continue to recycle the pop cans for the animals so I'll toss a pizza box in the bin every week just to make it inconvenient for the driver to stop every week.
  11. It is a Signature. There were a couple other cracks in the back bumper so several areas had to be glued. The mirrors are missing but it was less than $25 shipped versus $100
  12. Not the best of pics as it's too cold to take outside..... 1/18 Chrysler Airflow. The front bumper came off in shipping.....easily fixed
  13. The Durango is starting to have more and more issues. The wife needed a vehicle that could pull the camper trailer but the mall rated SUV's nowadays are rated for close to what the trailer weighs empty. Surfing the interweb, she found a 2019 Dodge Ram 4x4 Big Horn w low mileage.....and the hemi!
  14. Hit one of the Cincinnati area stores on Friday. Other than the toy area looking like post Black Friday chaos, no kits
  15. Like the Coca-Cola license....It's going on everything
  16. Bought the Funko AC/DC five character item from WalMart that was part of the black Friday sale. There's nothing I need bad enough to forego sleep so I was shocked it was still available later a couple days later. Package arrived and for once wants crushed....good sign. Open the box and the case isn't cracked/damaged....two for two. FedEx didn't disappoint as three of the figures were off their mounts and two of those were beheaded. Took it to the store for a refund.
  17. Local collectible/toy store had a half off sale. All sealed except the Revell Mustang Cobra which is open/complete
  18. This was the first image that came to mind......(from Cannonball Run)
  19. AMT 68 Camaro SS Convertible.....painted but appears complete MPC 76 Pontiac Ventura.....sealed inside (had one as a kid but screwed up the paint job and now piece kit in various boxes)
  20. Recent pick ups 1/18 Welly BMW Z8.....split front tire and a missing headlight cover. I have a black one in the scrap pile and pilfered those pieces. Never saw a yellow one before 1/18 Studebaker pick up......missing the driver's side mirror. Had to re-glue both door handle back on
  21. Local flea market....$20 1/18 Revell VW
  22. JoHan Turbine.....complete minus engine. The front suspension needs reglued Renwal Stutz.....builder got a bit glue happy, but complete
  23. They are still in business but far fewer stores than just a few years ago. They morphed it to a franchise system (aka buying yourself a job). For a laugh I went out to their website......check their spin on the benefits of being your own boss: Become a Franchise Partner with a $10,000 investment Earn 50% of restaurant profits Unlimited earning potential It is one of the cheaper franchise fees if you have the interest in owning own. What they DON'T share: Headaches of staffing (I cant imagine what a pain this is nowadays) You use the franchisor vendors of which they get a cut of the sale You use the franchisor software, again they get a fee for the Sales promotions come from your profit, not the fee paid the franchisor (ask a Subway owner about the $5 footlong promotion) Franchisee suffered in bad promotions (Jared from Subway, no Tuna in the Tuna sub) I managed a site in a previous life where there was a Subway. He owner about seven of them and made a good living but I'm too old to deal with all the BS he had to do.
  24. Kia Stinger......since only the drivers side front wheel was still on the road (the rest were down the slope on the side of the road with the rest of the car). Gonna go with its a RWD
  25. I'm in for the repop of the Dodge D-50
