  1. I don't do needles. Endured years of allergy shots as a kid and avoid needles at all costs...until you can barely walk. Got the shot Monday afternoon. Dr whipped out the freeze spray and then stuck in the needle. I was able to walk out of the office. No exertion for several days and no alcohol for three days. Feels fine so long as I keep it propped up.
  2. Stopped in looking for the Cutlass kit to no avail but did grab this......
  3. Jacked up my knee.....don't even have a good 'hold my beer' story to go with it. After X-rays and an MRI, there are half a dozen bone chips. Talked with the Dr this a.m. and I can have it scoped or the cortizone shot. I'm opting for the less evasive procedure. I had it scoped 30 years ago after tearing the meniscus playing tennis. Apparently I was prepped by a nurse who was cheesed at her boyfriend/husband as my leg was dry shaved.....the razor burn hurt more than the incision sites. Getting old sucks.....
  4. Banana Splits wobblers!
  5. He was the voice of Death on a couple early episodes of Family Guy
  6. I reached out to their customer service through their website and they got back to asking for more product information. I sent the pic of the shipper and the brand name of the models that would be in there. Three weeks went by and I poked them for an update. They again responded promptly but said for specific product info, I would have to call each store. Great idea if you can get someone to ANSWER the phone let alone find someone in a department that can answer a question
  7. Sorry for the delay. Injured my knee (not even a good 'hold my beer story to go with it) and ended up going to the Dr barely able to walk. Went to the man cave today and snapped these pics.
  8. No offense to participants in Germany but I get to use that two years I took a foreign language in high school 35 plus years ago.....that college NEVER required.
  9. I tried to as I ordered an AMX and a Superbird....sent my money order. Reached out several times for an update, but at the one year anniversary, asked for (and received) my money back. Following year, they actually sent me a catalog which promptly hit the trash.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/events/516771639474308/ September 5th I've strained my knee so no road trip for me, but if you appreciate Italian cars this is a great show on the grounds of Wendy's in Columbus, Ohio. There is a silver LM002 in the area as all times I've attended it's been there.
  11. I must have walked past these three or four times before my teenager pointed them out. Never knew these existed.....
  12. Bought this one a few years back along with a black one at a thrift store. Peeling the decals wasn't too bad but getting the glue was a pain in the shorts. Needs polishing and making a team bus logo....and some detailing
  13. I reached out through their website and it says they will contact you within 24 hours.......holy cow they really did! They asked for more info on the type of model and I sent the pic of the shipper, the bar code of models that are shown in the pic. That was over a week ago......
  14. Huge fan of The Simpsons (the older, funny episodes). As I got older, I saw my body morphing into Homer's shape....don't have his hairline, yet
  15. Diecast Models Wholesale has the 1966 Johnny Lightning hearse. Regular version is $8.99 and the Rat Fink version is $12.99.
  16. The Kaiser came from a local die cast toy show. 1/18.....only missing the passenger side mirror The Range Rover is a 1/24 from Rite Aid....once I got through the transaction with the snotty cashier
  17. Local die cast show. All are open/complete. The Skyline was solely to irritate my teenager Already have a Sierra (Merkur) but it's only the second one I've seen
  18. BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WAVE) - Taco Bell is set to break ground on a brand-new, innovative concept restaurant in Minnesota opening next year. Called “Taco Bell Defy,” the restaurant will be the first-of-its-kind, with a two-story, 3,000 square-foot location that offers four lanes for drive-thru service. So when (not if!) they get your order wrong, do you have to toss it up to the second floor?
  19. Food truck rally at a local park Lunch Empanada for lunch and a salted caramel bourbon pretzel for dessert (food coma hit hard about an hour later) Dinner My teenager and I are splitting a Bahn Mi sandwich and a Bulgogi bowl
  20. Only wanted the Toronado, but the DeSoto was too nice to pass up! I caved on the Viper. I resisted but I think I have virtually all the other 1/18 releases and the teenager talked me into it
  21. Been a while since I've seen one so had to grab it. Open but complete.
  22. Tower Hobbies has it for $42 AMT Foxy van and the Californian are under $30. Seems way off...
  23. Math is hard...... If you saw the video of the LAPD bomb squad putting a tad too much illegal fireworks into the container and detonated it The explosion of a Los Angeles Police Department bomb-disposal truck that injured 17 people last month was caused by “human error” after officials underestimated the weight of the fireworks that detonated, authorities said Monday. The June 30 blast came when the bomb squad was called to remove about 40 “Coca-Cola can-sized” improvised explosive devices that had been among the 32,000 pounds of fireworks stored illegally by a resident, authorities said. Since some of the fireworks were found to have “leaking material,” officials on the scene decided to detonate the dangerous explosives there. LAPD Chief Michel R. Moore said in a news conference that bomb technicians believed they had stored 16.5 pounds of explosives in the Total Containment Vessel, the bomb squad’s disposal truck, but an ATF National Response Team later found that the technicians had placed more than 42 pounds into the vehicle. None of the injuries to the 10 law enforcement personnel and seven residents from the blast were life-threatening. In addition to the injuries, the blast damaged or destroyed 37 vehicles, 22 residential properties and 13 businesses, police said.
  24. Just gonna put this right here.....
  25. DMV...... Apparently the folks on the People of WalMart website hang out at the local DMV office! With their website being clear as mud, I had several forms of ID with me to renew my drivers license. Of course I didn't have the one they required to get the drivers license to use to be able to fly....birth certificate. The lady behind the counter said the requirement has been postponed until 2023. I said can you be more specific.....January 2023? December 2023?? May 2023. Since the expiration was coming up and I may have flashbacks from the freak show I witnessed yesterday a.m., I said I will just renew the current one and get the upgraded one at a later date/time. Less than a minute later, she said that the state now allows you to renew it good for eight years and did I want to do so. The filter between the brain and mouth tapped out. I said "did we NOT just have this conversation less than a minute ago! Why would you even ask that??" My tax dollars at work!!
