I no longer want to be a USPS customer.
HomerS replied to Brutalform's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Years ago, I managed a small retail in-line center that had a bar at the far end. The local mail carrier would stash the delivery vehicle in the dead end alley behind the bar. -

That's how I met most of my neighbors when I first bought my house......dropping off their mail delivered to my house. But when it's at the other end of the street or (oddly frequent) wrong street, I drop it in the mailroom at the office go they get a second chance. And even if you write on the envelope they delivered it to the wrong house, I've found that if you don't cross out the computer coding at the bottom, they get it wrong a second time. -
Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi over udon noodles. I warned the teenager he'll be sweating the garlic out tomorrow.

At Walmart (at least one store)

I was out of town and hit one of that areas nicer WM's....success! Grabbed two 64 Cutlass Convertibles and two of the GMC Jimmys. I grabbed the lone Penelope Pitstop kits. I needed one of the but it was 7:30a so the brain was still low on caffeine and couldn't recall which one I was missing (The Creepy Coupe is the one I need). They were on an end cap across the aisle from the toy department. -
Zipfizz! I can't do some of the energy drinks as they set my heart on hummingbird (not good when I'm already on blood pressure meds) I cut my Mt Dew/Coke/Pepsi consumption as whatever they use as a sweetener any more is nasty

I don't do needles. Endured years of allergy shots as a kid and avoid needles at all costs...until you can barely walk. Got the shot Monday afternoon. Dr whipped out the freeze spray and then stuck in the needle. I was able to walk out of the office. No exertion for several days and no alcohol for three days. Feels fine so long as I keep it propped up.

Jacked up my knee.....don't even have a good 'hold my beer' story to go with it. After X-rays and an MRI, there are half a dozen bone chips. Talked with the Dr this a.m. and I can have it scoped or the cortizone shot. I'm opting for the less evasive procedure. I had it scoped 30 years ago after tearing the meniscus playing tennis. Apparently I was prepped by a nurse who was cheesed at her boyfriend/husband as my leg was dry shaved.....the razor burn hurt more than the incision sites. Getting old sucks.....

I reached out to their customer service through their website and they got back to asking for more product information. I sent the pic of the shipper and the brand name of the models that would be in there. Three weeks went by and I poked them for an update. They again responded promptly but said for specific product info, I would have to call each store. Great idea if you can get someone to ANSWER the phone let alone find someone in a department that can answer a question -

Sorry for the delay. Injured my knee (not even a good 'hold my beer story to go with it) and ended up going to the Dr barely able to walk. Went to the man cave today and snapped these pics. -
No offense to participants in Germany but I get to use that two years I took a foreign language in high school 35 plus years ago.....that college NEVER required.

I tried to as I ordered an AMX and a Superbird....sent my money order. Reached out several times for an update, but at the one year anniversary, asked for (and received) my money back. Following year, they actually sent me a catalog which promptly hit the trash.

HomerS replied to Dave Van's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I reached out through their website and it says they will contact you within 24 hours.......holy cow they really did! They asked for more info on the type of model and I sent the pic of the shipper, the bar code of models that are shown in the pic. That was over a week ago...... -
Huge fan of The Simpsons (the older, funny episodes). As I got older, I saw my body morphing into Homer's shape....don't have his hairline, yet

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WAVE) - Taco Bell is set to break ground on a brand-new, innovative concept restaurant in Minnesota opening next year. Called “Taco Bell Defy,” the restaurant will be the first-of-its-kind, with a two-story, 3,000 square-foot location that offers four lanes for drive-thru service. So when (not if!) they get your order wrong, do you have to toss it up to the second floor?
