The local high school gym, there is a sizable advertisement near the score board for the local plumber that offers 'high presure water jetting'. As a solid "C" student in English my entire life, it's that noticeable.

Kinda depends on what it was. Mine was a well used/abused 73 Duster which except for the indestructible slant six was a POS. Second one not much better (72 one owner two door Mercury Comet). Third one was the first one after college.....84 Dodge Rampage. Currently not running but having the hard time parting with it. Blew two timing belts (cheap plastic belt). No internal damage but clearly went low budget on that engine (2.2L)

When my mother owned a beauty shop, she would read them daily to see if anyone wasn't keeping their appointment that day

I've not opened the VW kit but have build their 2004 GTO and the Ford GT. Lots of detail, especially for a snap kit. No flash not fit issues

No.....he said he parked specifically in that space so he didn't catch anything on fire. As for the Kei cars, there is a Honda Beat that attended in the past. I almost stopped at the other C&C show but from the highway clearly most of the cars had left. Pics on their Facebook page showed a new Ford GT came to that show

After going to a Cars & Coffee show, stopped by the Hobby Lobby not expecting much. Rarely ever see more than one or two of a kit, but grabbed all three of the PL Coca-Cola VW's. I want to do one my late father brought back from Germany after he got out of the Air Force and another he had that he tinkered with in my grade school years. I came close to pulling the trigger to buying the Auto World 76 Cadillac, but without the 40% off coupon I just can't pull the trigger on $10 for 1/64 car. I'll wait until it shows up at a mass retailer at $5-$6.

Company outing today to the Cincinnati Reds game. It was bad little league effort.......lost 19-4 !!!!! Payroll of $121M.....guess that explains the $22 for a beer and a pretzel

Currently.....Discount DrugMart. I never thought to check a small, regional drug store for kits but they used to have a decent selection at a decent price. Last time I went (a few years ago) they were down to a handful of Revell kits and Maisto 1/24 die-cast kits. Ever...independent kids resale shop. A lady came in to purge her kids clothes and toys and there were about a dozen kits in the lot. No wow factor but sealed kits at a few bucks each.

What did you see on the road today?
HomerS replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On a conference call and I hear a siren coming down the street stop close to the house. Look outside and see a fairly new Dodge Ram pulled over in front of the neighbor w/ police car behind him. Didn't give it much thought until the teenager says there are two other police vehicles as they had the dog sniffing the bed of the truck. Must have come up clean as everyone departed about 20 minutes later. -

Okey shows up at shows sporadically. He has a couple resin kits and some unassembled promos, but otherwise mostly Jo-Han parts bin (tail lights, tires and a few hoods)

I went on their website last night around 5p Eastern time looking for the AutoCar dump truck (local stores stock of one each was gone) as they were offering free shipping over $50. They were not offering the 40% off on models? Oh well....I can wait a couple more weeks for the in store sale and stock to be replenished.

My oldest got his BS in Infomatics today......Bittersweet I'm an only child and my mom wanted grandchildren. She would have loved every minute of the graduation ceremony but she passed unexpectedly of a stroke 12 years ago this Memorial Day weekend. My youngest is a high school freshman next year so the wife and I will be doing this again in eight years.....hopefully just eight.

FedEx left a package on my porch yesterday that had a non-existent house number and name of no one at my house. (the non matching address of my house is on the side of the mailbox below where the driver left it!) I thought maybe the shipper transposed numbers but no one of that name on the street (or they are rents so cant find through the Auditor's website. I tried to go through the FedEx website but it wouldn't take my info so I had to call. On the third try (the first two times the automated system said I cant change the tracking number as I was not the shipper), I finally got a lady that was, well, not these shores. I told her their driver left the package and the wrong address and she said she would contact the driver to pick it up. She asked where the package would be and I told her on the front porch where he originally left it. I omitted that I placed it there like Ace Ventura Pet Detective did. (That is usually how I know I hear a package delivered to my porch....from well outside the three point line). They picked it up some time late this afternoon.

Stopped by one of the HL's this a.m......they might want to have a chat with their marketing person about killing off the 40% coupon and new pricing structure. Frequently when down the model aisle, I check out the die cast and something else comes home with me as well. 1/64 Johnny Lightning and M2's are now $13! I can go across the street and grab them for $6 - $7/each at Wal-Mart, Target or Meijer. Funko POPS are $13.....$9 at WalMart or $11 from Funko's website for the exact same ones! Next step will be major shrinkage of the whole aisle to a four foot section (like the local Michael's) and blaming consumers no longer purchasing these items

From Yahoo's Home Page.... Disney’s problematic princess: why Snow White is forever being cancelled It's because of the non-consensual kiss of the Prince to Show White. My guess was they were lobbying to change it to Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challenged.
