  1. Beautiful build on that Ford coupe.
  2. An excellent choice as I just love dem B-body Mopars. In fact my current modeling project is the Revell '70 road Runner kit, and I need to "pick up the pace" on it.
  3. I'm with you TooOld as I can paint a model with less than one can of paint. I try and use as little primer, color, and clear paint as I can as not to bury the details such as chrome trim, emblems, scripts, etc. I always decant my spray can right from the can to the body or parts. No fuss and no mess, just "shake and spray."
  4. Great job on that "Bee" Randy, as I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  5. Not only are the resin parts great, you should try the tire lettering decals. I did yesterday and they look just great. Check them out.
  6. Back in 1976 I belonged to a model car club, and through connections we were invited to view the AMT plant. It was very interesting and I wish that I had taken photos, if not on the inside the outside for sure. It was a long time ago and at the time of the tour I also had other issues I was dealing with so I don't remember too much about it.They did give us each a model kit before we left. No I don't recall which kit nor do I still have it.
  7. You are correct Mark, as I just looked at my JoHan '63 Plymouth Hardtop kit.
  8. Oh, I was expecting to see the monster truck Big Foot.
  9. Bill, I don't have THAT many kits as I've been thinnin' the herd for the last few years. However if I ever came across those two kits I want, I would definitely buy them. If I don't, my life still goes on.
  10. Hmmm, while I have PLENTY to build already and really need another model kit like another hole in my head, I would like a '69-'70 Javelin kit and a '60 Buick convertible kit as well.
  11. Lookin' good on the progress of that Charger, as I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  12. Wow Kerry, I'm sure glad that I'm not on your bad side of things. Wondered why you had left the meeting early last night? I hope that you have a Merry Christmas friend.
  13. Hmmmm, very nice Caddy and great paint as well.
  14. Your build is lookin' good so far, and I just love dem Mopars!
  15. Your gasser looks great Jim, 'cept the wheels are not "period correct" for a 1961 AHRA D/G Class Champion.
  16. Start saving for her wedding as it's gonna cost you a bundle. That's why I don't race cars anymore like I did back-in-the-day, as race car is another word for "money pit."
  17. About a person's huge model kit stash, it only proves that they can spend money and nothing else.
  18. I believe that the highest price I've paid for a plastic model car kit is $150 for a JoHan '63 Dodge Hardtop. It was at least 10 years ago and I still haven't built it. Oh well.
  19. I use the SEM interior paints from Eastwood, which are plastic friendly and need no primer either. I don't know offhand if they have silver as you would have to check.
  20. Very nice work on that AWB car Ron, excellent.
  21. Well mine is a gasser of course..............................
  22. Here's a photo of a Texan I had built a few years back to hang from the ceiling of my hobby room. The first plane kit I've built since the 50's.
  23. Really? I did my first BMF job in the early 80's and it still looks great. No need to seal it, protect it, etc. Unless you will be displaying them outside in rain, snow, hail, bright sun, etc. I always apply BMF AFTER clear coating and polishing out the paint.
  24. I have worked with a couple of guys who retired and passed before getting their first retirement check. To me, retiring early or later is like a crapshoot.
