  1. You've got some nice builds! I like Dupli-color's Hot Rod Primer. It's a dark grey so I can use flat black for details.
  2. Austin is definitely different. We get a little snow every couple years. On the other hand, our summers can be brutal.
  3. I had a Volvo 264 GL with this engine in it. It wasn't bad, I got it up to 140 a couple of times, though that car's boxiness didn't make it easy. I suspect that the LS engine is about the same size and probably weighs about the same.
  4. I wonder if there were extenuating circumstances? I remember there was a dealer a few years back that lost a big suit like this and then played the victim on tv and with the local congressman. Someone did a little digging and found out that they had had a lot of similar suits against them and they always changed their name and kept on selling cars with problems.
  5. Ahh, a beautiful day! After a few weeks of drizzly 30-40 degree days, I looked outside and it's sunny and in the 60s. I'm taking advantage of it to paint some bodies while I can and let them bake in the sun. I also like to sit on the porch and do body work because it make mold lines and scratches show up well.
  6. Looking great! I've almost bought this kit a couple of times and ended up getting something else. After seeing what you are doing with it, I need to get one!
  7. You've got some impressive skills! Really nice
  8. I like it and the paint is sooo smooth!
  9. I would say year finished, though I might also note that I had started it whenever.
  10. Sounds like a good plan to me! I would also add a tire and wheel line and maybe tool up some engines such as the Chrysler Hellcat, Chevy LS and the Ford Coyote and Ecoboost. They could even pack them in little crate boxes or something. Some kits include really nice modern aftermarket wheels and tires and I wouldn't mind getting those. I hate buying a kit just to rob the wheels or engine out of it. I figure they already have some of this stuff tooled up, maybe figure out a way to produce them as sets and release them. I'm tired of keeping Fujimi amd Aoshima in the accessory business! LOL
  11. Nice! I think the Falcon Ranchero and the 1968 Cadillac are my favorites.

    My 2018

    Nice stable!
  13. Really nice, just keep updating us. I love it!
  14. Never heard of it, where do you buy it?
  15. Amazing skill!
  16. Quite a nice collection!
  17. Sounds like you have your hands full in a good way!
  18. Amazingly clean work!
  19. I don't build a lot as my work space is a 36x24 stand up shelf wedged between the dryer and the wall. My current obsession is hot rod/track rat Porsches. They aren't the most accurate or detailed, but I 'm building for fun so that's good enough for me. I built 3 of the Monogram curbsides, 1 Tamiya GT3 and a Revell 911 that I just finished today. The solid grey one is my favorite as it represents what I'd like to have as a daily driver. It features deep dish steelies and is de-winged. I just inventoried and I still have 4 more Monogram curbsides, another Tamiya GT3, 3 Revells and a Fujimi for the new year. Anyway, here's my 2018's!
  20. Thanks, I may try to convert one if I can't find one of these at a decent price.
  21. I don't like to buy recasts, but since it hasn't been available for years, I took a chance.
  22. I've been buying and even building Porsche 911 this year. Just for variation I'd like to find a right hand drive dash for some of them. Most of the kits I have are 1/24th, such as the Revell Turbo Coupe. Anyone have one available? A related question; I've heard the street stock Tamiya 1988 Turbo Coupe has both a left and right hand dash. I've watched the YouTube videos and it doesn't look like it has one. Can anyone confirm that?
  23. Glad to see you here! We all build what we wish we could have in 1:1. If I could I would have a garage full of 911s. That won't happen so I'm building my dream cars in 1:24th. Have fun with them!
  24. Just now I realized I need to buy another '55 Chevy truck. I forgot I built the last one a while back.
