  1. I bought an original unbuilt of this right before they announced the reissue. You may have inspired me to start it! Really nice.
  2. An artisan! Did he start with the Motormax cheap Walmart window van? Truly amazing!!
  3. That looks really good. That finish is really hard to achieve.
  4. Is it a good show? I mostly like to go for the vendors. I'm going to try to go to the ModelFiesta in San Antonio next weekend and I would have to have a good excuse before my wife let me go to that one too! LOL
  5. Sounds like something Galaxy might have thought of a few years ago. They are pretty easy to make in resin or vac-form so I guess there isn't any reason?
  6. It could be good if done in a semi-documentary style sort of like a Tom Hanks WWII movie. I imagine the cars will all be either kit cars or computer generated due to the crazy cost of the real cars now.
  7. I don't think the Edsel and Ford styling was any better or worse than what GM was putting out at the time. One thing that seems to have hurt Ford was quality control. GMs quality was much better then and Ford's wasn't. It was better than Chrysler perhaps, but GM was the best at the time. I read an interview in Hemmings a few years ago with some retired autoworkers. In their efforts to overtake GM, Ford executives and managers churned out product without worrying about quality. Ford and Edsel dealers reported having, in some cases to almost rebuild cars before they could go on the showroom floor.
  8. If I may join late, I'd like to do so. I gave up on trying to convert a Chevy six into a Cummins 6BT and ordered the Cummins from Trailer Trash Customs. I also got the Dodge Ramcharger last night on clearance so I think the two will make a good combo.
  9. The recently re-released AMT 280ZX has an inline 6 as well.
  10. Does anyone know how much work would be needed to make the Ferguson into a Ford?
  11. The day that the Foose Cadillac and 56 Ford truck go on clearance at Hobby Lobby, I'm going to stock up on them to serve as parts donors for chassis and engines.
  12. I had no interest in this kit when it came out, but I would buy a couple now. I just got two more of the Datsun pickup and I recently got an unbuilt Ram D-50, the molded in blue version.
  13. Looks cool!
  14. I bought a big sheet of foam poster board and just cut off however much I need to make a box.
  15. I'm looking forward to this one. Here's hoping that they also do a street version and a wagon version. Volvos are most known for their wagons. I drive one!
  16. I'm really ready for Italeri or whoever to reissue all the 1/24th Land Rover variations that they might have. I have the old Monogram one that I work on periodically and a Bburago diecast one that I can't currently find.
  17. I've built the last one in my stash, so I'll probably get one or two of this kit. I originally clicked on this thinking that AMT was putting out a '76 Chevy truck. LOL
  18. One thing that I always try to remember is that running a model company is a lot harder than me as an armchair CEO thinks. I do hate seeing certain kits reissued over and over, but I also understand that the companies see a dwindling pool of customers and they have to do what is most cost-effective. With licensing and tooling costs being what they are, I'm sure it is hard to find the balance between the need and desire to put out exciting new tools or retooled old kits and the need to move product as cheaply as possible.
  19. Definitely like to see a backdate kit to turn it into a 1964-ish Jeep Gladiator Townside or even the Thriftside.
  20. Really nice! I've got this kit in my pile to do some day. I really like what you've done with it.
  21. Didn't some of these Coke releases include a Coke machine? I would buy a couple just for that.
  22. I guess I missed something on their site, but how do you pay? Paypal, CC? Is the shipping time similar to that from Japan, 3-4 weeks?
  23. They can hire a model tool archaeologist to wade into the depths of the storage warehouse jungle and see just what is back there and what is in serviceable condition. I humbly volunteer my services!
