  1. wow,,love it! I really like that 1:1 kawi scambler,,yours looks great! Wish I could find more large scale bike kits out there.
  2. I always have a DVD or VHs or youtube movie of some type of Motorsports while building,,seems to work for me.
  3. We pay for ALOT of things we shouldnt have to,,no need to go into ,,what,,where ,,how much ect,,ect..Im sure weve all questioned some or all of what we get taxed for. And thats all Im going to say about it.
  4. This may have been covered somewhere else,,couldnt find it. Anyways,,why does testors enamel bottle{small size} turn to a gel-like glob after a couple of months? I store them indoors,,away from direct sunlight,,so there not getting too hot,,and the weirdest thing is not all colors do this! Some I have Ive had for a year or so,,and there still fine{aside from having to add a bit of thinner to help flow better} I dont get it. Any ideas?
  5. Thanks Slusher,,you have some great stuff in here as well,,and that goes for everybody else also!
  6. Thanks Harry,,I really like that 30's era large scale indy/road racer kit you have in here,,amazing. Look forward to seeing it completed!
  7. Well I dont have EVERY one they put out,,quite a few though. Heres the CB 750 tamiya 1/12th,,I dont have the large scale 750{that would be nice!} The CB 750 tamiya went together without any hassles or modifications for fit. IMO Tamiya makes the most accurate kits for the $$$. Meaning ,not having to clean flash,,filing mating surfaces, alignment of assemblys,,ect,,ect. Ill toss a few more tamiyas Ive done in here just for the fun of it.
  8. Thanks so much,,yea I experimented with different angles of lights to get shadows{no pun intended "Honda Shadow" lol} behind the bike,,kind of neat effect. Thanks for looking
  9. The chopper +bronco are on my list,,nice
  10. I ordered mine a few days ago,,cant wait
  11. wow, unbelievable ,,thats a REALLY detailed kit,,nice work there Harry! Hope you get relief soon from your doc.
  12. Outstanding job! Great color contrasts,,wow
  13. fantastic,I really enjoy the lemans LMP,,sedan racing series,,great job on yours!
  14. Thats Neat,nice work!
  15. Wow,,great stuff!
  16. Thanks Mike,,two wheel madness has always been one of my fav hobbys,,both 1:1 bikes and the kits. Thanks for looking,,cheers!
  17. Thanks,,I havent done the Mini 70 Trail bike yet,,the Tamiya 1/6 MX'r is going to be really cool,,I may post a build thread,,but it would take up alot of storage space in the forum,,so Ill see how it goes. The Rupp bike would be fun to do also. I have almost every Tamiya off road bike kit and many street bikes as well built +unbuilt.
  18. hey,,thats pretty wild,,I hear ya about doing "other" kits,,,,I like doing Sci-fi kits once in a while,,and military jets+planes,,,yours will great for sure.
  19. Thanks so much,,its tricky if your going to use both versions,,the biggest prob is the front 1/4 panels,it comes w/2 different styles,,and neither mated up cleanly to body edges,,thats why I just used 1 version,,glued panels in,,putty,,,sanded,,,ect to get front to look decent. And the 2 panels didnt really have alot of difference to them for the most part. One had more frontward placement for wheelwell than the other,,thats it. Good luck on yours!
  20. yea I hear ya about the x-tra work to make things fit right,,I did have to use flat jewlers files to flatten mating surfaces on many pcs and had to jump around on assy steps to get mtr in,,back wheel w/chain and brake assy.,,,,but I really like the large scale bike kits, and they dont re-pop many of them.,guess thats why I consider it a "great" kit. maybe not so much the actual mfg part of it. With that said,,one of my next large bike kits to hit the workbench is the 1/6th TAMIYA Yamaha 250 YZ MX'r,,,now that should be a whole different animal as far as fit and assembly I would think. Good luck on yours!
  21. Whoa! Really great ,clean scooter. Love those colors.
  22. Yea,,I havent seen too many post about a final build of this one,,Im surprised ,,,its a great kit,,the front rotor+caliper assembly is tricky, though ,I had to install rotor to forks first,, up and in the caliper assembly,,and then insert front wheel,,and the stock kit gauges/speedo/tach were clear w/markings molded into,,looked ok,,but I replaced w/decal gauges from leftover decals bx from older kits. I left off the rear footpegs,,they mounted to the exsaust at rear,,didnt look all that great,,I may modify the rear footpegs+mount to frame as if they were folded up in the non-use position. Also added the cross bar support to handlebars,,gives it a Scrambler/GP look,,IMO. Look forward to seeing yours when you get it done! Thanks for looking.
  23. thanks so much,,yea,,I was trying to find pics of the 1:1 car on web before build,,,and theres hardly any pics of it,and I read that MPC commissioned Ohio George to build this car to promote the kit! I think the 1:1 car ran for only or a year or so. Thanks again
