  1. Yup, nice work Nick. I'm of the opinion deep dish five slot mags make anything look tough. Case in point.
  2. Ah, the old Poison Pinto. Beautiful soft fade of the greens. Looks very good.
  3. Yeah, who wants to build models during such times. You may still not be feeling it. But it's a process, right? And it's gotta start somewhere and in its own time.
  4. WOW! This is by far the most concisely stated, insightful, meaningful and eloquent post in this thread. I need not read more.
  5. You mean another mid-engine, March Indy based, Mustang turbo four banger winged VW Rabbit?
  6. Would you believe this is the only out loud laugh I've had today?
  7. This is a must-do Scott. With the Potvin blower feeding it, it's the perfect set up for an awesome theme build.
  8. I have to think this was a decision being kicked around before the foul and this was the incident to give them an out. I would think it would take more than a one race incident for NAPA to leave NASCAR. My wager is they are (have been) in discussions with another team. I also notice their stock (GPC) jumped 5-percent on the news.
  9. As nice as I've ever seen this done. Lego wheels, very clever and the crowning touch. More fun than should be legal. - Hooked on a fueling.
  10. Is a laptop nearby? I had a bookshelf I kept my laptop on. A small piece of rock candy was welded to the bottom shelf. That attracted the tiny red ants, but they really got fired up over my laptop. Don't know what's in it but they were still meandering out of the case a few days after I'd moved it and cleaned up the site.
  11. Kenn, I urge you not to leave the forum! I'm one of your fans and delight in seeing what you do. I also urge you to continue posting photos and accept what comes, good or bad, for what it's worth. The critiques I've seen have been specific, non-insulting and valid. But they in no way define the overall scope of your projects. The thing is, your construction skills are beyond what many of us can do. So it's a given, perhaps unspoken, that your work is superb and fascinating. The critiques have been for areas in which we'd like to see you grow (we all have them). Please don't take them as indictments against your entire effort. Comments are not currency with good ones making you rich and bad ones making you poor. They're just opinions from strangers that count for as much or as little as you let them. There are a lot of silent viewers, (and I may be one) learning and being inspired by your posts.
  12. If Terry Redlin did trucks.
  13. Ya can't beat the marker art. This one has always been high on my list of favorites; the colors, the action, the technique!
  14. It just happens. I start every build telling myself to make it quick and not get so caught up in details. While building, that little voice says, "Heck, it won't take that much more time or effort to go that extra step on this one part..." then that part, then another part and before you know it, it gets put away because it's gotten too involved. I can't help it. It's not for some higher aspiration or self improvement, it just happens.
  15. Looks like something John Steed would drive if The Avengers were today. If it weren't French, that is.
  16. Yes! One of your best yet Carl.
  17. AMEN. I almost didn't recognize it.
  18. I don't' mean to make things worse for you ARC, but what a let down. That said, recovering from harm would be very distracting to model building. So keep your energy focused on healing and we'll look for your next project.
  19. Might need to clarify... cars that were never production vehicles or cars that never existed in any form? A google search shows most kitted cars existed in some form, whether movie cars, show cars or concepts. At least a one off.
  20. I think I need my eyes checked . I'm surprised how well and consistently proportioned they all are. Sumptuous color and well done.
  21. Very classy. Not sure I'm on board with the wheels, but it looks great and is an essential part of your '56 collection.
  22. Yup. Good choices, clean build.
  23. Dominik, that really worked out well. The decals and everything fit better than I expected and the wheels set it off perfectly. Excellent.
  24. This. Year 2000. Easy to remember because it was my first internet purchase of any kind. I was a little leery.
