  1. Usually, but not always. When my mom was in institutional nursing care her health dwindled until Hospice was called in. They saved her life. Gave her the attentive care that the for-profit organization didn't and she got better. We moved her somewhere else and she lived comfortably for a few more years. Hospice, angels beyond measure.
  2. If that thing drives for real, it can't possibly be on the stock chassis. Hard to tell if there are duallies under it.
  3. For goodness sakes, it's what makes every job easy.
  4. Interesting weathering technique that I wouldn't have considered. I wonder what other plastic colors that would work with, or for that matter, which colors it would not work with.
  5. England swings like a pendulum do.
  6. Apologies not necessary. I'm just glad this is still going.
  7. Noticing on the street the other day how Mazda is really dialing in the red radiance paint through their lineup. Not sure it's as deep as brandywine but it's rich.
  8. Wow, you've essentially scratch built a car. I shudder to think of the hours you have into this. Good stuff.
  9. Wowsers! I love radical customs and this is great. I'm having trouble getting on board with the glossy distressed paint, but I love the body work and that profile shot is killer. Interesting choices that not everybody would risk, but that's what's so fresh and appealing. Do more ?.
  10. I love that color on new cars, where they add some relief to the parade of earthy silvers, whites and darks on the streets for the past 30 years. Not so much on classics.
  11. Thanks for sharing that Stephen. It was very considerate of you to bring that to our attention. I'll have to check it out.
  12. Great work Kurt! Definitely a WIP to eat popcorn by. A great subject choice and considering the fiddly fuss, I'm glad it didn't end up in the parts box. Looking forward to the race!
  13. Oooo, most handsome.
  14. RIP again, Dr. Eldon Tyrell.
  15. I think scale would also be an issue as it is a tick small for a bus. Furthering....
  16. Conspicuously not listed is Model Cars Magazine.
  17. Whoa, I don't know about absurd, but totally believable. It's got a great look, I want one. I really, really like this Chuck.
  18. Quick change rear fender? Sail tie down? Anchor cleat?
  19. Wow Joe, every inch of that Camaro screams power! If it's not your best effort, it's at least your furthest reach, every inch has been considered. A real racer. When the time comes, don't forget to post pics to the starting line in November.
  20. Not a car but it was amusing to see Niles and Martin on Frasier building a model. The scene was actually about building the model and not just window dressing.
  21. Yeah, but I'm also seeing a lot of satisfying solutions. This model is in capable hands.
  22. Wasn't in the cards for me this year, but I sure appreciate the pics. Hope someone has a link to more. Thanks Steven.
  23. This is lovely to the 9's. A dreamboat. A dear and long time friend of mine has a brightwork shop and he said he had to polish 200-feet of stainless from a '59 Impala. I shudder to think how many feet of stainless this one has.
  24. Looks-wise, I thought he was well cast as Gus Grissom in The Right Stuff. But this is the one that put him on the map for me.
